  1. Not really worth it mate. I did this on my N/A Supra but rather than messing about with bypass pipes etc. I blocked the pipework off at the front and rear of the block - had no problems at all (cost me the price of a couple of old bolts which I used to block the cut off pipes with).

As to HP increase - maybe a fraction since the intake air isn't being warmed up by the hot air but TBH I doubt it'd make much real difference on it's own - maybe with a few other mods such as a decent cold air feed to the filter etc.

  2. Hi,

The better option would buy a Aristo mk1,same GS300 shell but with Twin Turbo power :)

Yeah, I know. I nearly had one (one been in Autotrader for a while) but the guy ended up selling it to his daughter. Currently there is one on Autotrader which is well out of my price bracket and already modded (I'd want a stock mk1 to play with)

I can pick up a GS300 at a reasonable price and then mod it myself hopefully.

  3. Physically it will fit no problem. But you would also to swap the ECUs, the gearbox and the exhaust! There is no way you could convert the 2JZ lump to run the TT sequential turbo set-up as the internals are somewhat different (no oil spray bars on the piston undersides etc.). A better, cheaper bet would be a N/A-T conversion, fitting a single turbo and fuel ecu, bigger injectors (440cc) and a head gasket would see a healthy rise inpower, retain off-boost torque and be cheaper and easier than a full TT engine/gearbox swap :)

  4. Hi guys,

Complete newbie here - not even got a car just yet. I'm looking to buy a GS300 Sport sometime in the near future. What I do want to know though is when did the engine change over to VVTi?

BTW, although new to Lexus, my most recent ownership includes an MR2, Celica GT4 and Toyota Supra (N/A) so I'm familiar with RWD and the Jap car scene.

    Thanks for the help :)
