  1. you won't look back with a charger i drove one with a charger a few years ago it was fun and made an amazing noise but they are hard to come buy. i think pro lex had a few couple of years ago at a good price. however funds were tight then and i missed the boat. you have a nice car it would finish it off nicely mate.

  2. just sold the lexus, i dont't post much but however i've been lurking and reading in the background. it's been a pleasure owning the is200 for the last 7 years it's never missed a beat, reliable all the way through and never cost me a penny apart from wear and tear items. was gonna advertise it but the word got round and the first person bought it on the spot. i really think there is a shortage of cars on the market. had a bit of a lump in my throat as it was driven away. this forum has been excellent with all the information available from it's passionate members. take care and most of all thank you.

  3. i put 39 psi in the tyres and can say the steering feed back and drive has improved greatly, may be the vredestein tyres are designed to take a higher psi. just been searching other forums and it seems a lot of people are wondering why the higher psi but end up increasing their tyre pressure to manufacturers spec. i'll keep an eye on wear though !

  4. hi all, i am also running the vredestein ultracs they seem like excellent tyres but the sidewalls seem alot softer than my old bridgestones. i'm only running them on 35 psi, i just checked vredesteins website and they recommend 42psi for the fronts and 45psi for the rear, seems really high! may try these pressures to stiffen the side walls on the tyres.

  5. hi all,

just got a price on a 70,000 mile service for my is200 wich was £210 from lexus leicester. does this seem about average as i know prices can vary between dealers? just wondering is it still worth getting it serviced from dealers as the car is now 7 years old but only done 38,000 miles. or are there any reccomendations for getting it serviced at a local garage? oh they also said they would match the rac cover when i asked. any advice would help

    thanx in advance

  6. hi, i too was in the same dilemma regarding the cambelt , my car came up to being six years old and i was advised by the dealer to get the cam belt done at 60k even though its only done 35k. so i emailed lexus gb and asked them, they told me its been changed from the 10year, 100k interval to the 6 year 60k, even though the service manual says 10 years. i had it done at the end for peace of mind.

  7. hi all whilst i was on the motorway and slowing to get off for my exit i got a loud crackling kind of sound from under the steering wheel area may be gearbox/ clutch not really sure for about 45 seconds. then reappeared a few minutes later. i checked the car and everything seems fine under the bonnet and under the car. i drove the car home and it seemed fine .

any ideas as what it could be?

    thanks
