  1. Hi

I've had no problems ever with my 2006 400h until the other day when it was minus 6 and snowing in Newcastle upon Tyne and my "check hybrid system" and "check vsc" has been flashing on and off and is now constantly on.

Is this something to do with the cold weather and snow, its never happened before and I've never had any problems with the hybrid before?

The hybrid seems to be going on and off as normal, when you've got feedback can you please assist.

    Thanks

    Laurel

  2. Threads like this make me chuckle - I want to buy a complex hybrid vehicle chock full of wazzy gizmos and cutting edge technology but I don't want t pay £500 for a service cause I want to save £200.

Your 400h is not like any ordinary car - it needs proper care and maintenance to ensure proper operation. Do you honestly believe that monkeys like KwikFit can service this vehicle properly and correctly in respect of the correct operation of the Hybrid system?

For me it beggars belief that people will spend £20k on a car but will look to using KwikFit (and the like) to maintain it. And when it goes *BANG* will scream to high heaven and blame Lexus for their poorly built cars.

Ive just asked the same question, people join forums like this for HELP not to be sneered at!!!!

For your info my partner is driving a 911 carrera but couldnt bear to trade in the first Lexus that he had bought hence im now driving it.

I would suggest to all contributors on any forum like this that they give honest help where possible, after all we all want the best for our lexus vehicles either serviced by lexus or any independent lexus garages and as we all know there are some out there in the universe who are just as capable to do the neccesary work required without blowing it up, chuckle.
