  1. Hi Guys

No wheelie bin cameras in Norfolk but be careful with the numberplate recognition vans as the Norfolk one now has one camera for tax dogers (good thing in my opinion) and the other one is a speed camera, totally stealth no signs within 300m as regulation requires if the force is taking the revenue from the fines. We also have spotted yesterday a slow moving traffic car with a radar gun rear facing mounted on the roof, causing a hazard for eveyone who has to go around it as it is usually lurking around bends.

Norfolk used to be a reasonable place but with a new chief constable at the reigns cameras are sprouting up every where of course street crime and crime against property is also increasing dramatically, not so easy to catch thiefs as it is to persicute road users.

    Sorry just my thoughts.

  2. Hi Everyone

Just paid the deposit on the Yellow one in Lexus Norwich.

Anybody want a 2001 Blue IS 200 sport or a set of 18" wheels with tyres.

Only trouble is they wont let me have it until June, think i may talk to some one at head office about it. Anyone got any ideas how i can get it earlier. HELP.

    Cheers

    *****.

  3. Hi Guys

I agree with everyone, this is my first Lexus and every time i wash it i find new scratches. The latest one yesterday on the bonnet which looks like cat scratches. Mine has to stay in the drive and cats love a warm bonnet if i catch one sitting on the bonnet it is going to love a warm bullet. As i was saying the scratches have gone right down to the undercoat which on a Blue car is White so the only way to get rid of them is a respray.

    Not immpressed.

Prevoius car was a Nissan had it for 3 years with no sign of cats.

  4. Hi everyone.

Just a bit more about the subject, may be of interest.

Still no word from Lexus Norwich about arranging the job but managed to find the name of the company they use to do it (Clearview). Spoke to the guy on the phone and he gave me prices for the gold bading and tinting the front windows. They are as follows:- £160 for the gold plating and £80 for the window tint, not bad i thought.

Now Lexus Norwich quoted me when i first asked:-

£235 + VAT for the gold plating and they would give me a price on the windows when they had it roughly £150 + VAT.

Coincedently the guy at Clearview was booked in to do some gold badging at Lexus Norwich today, ah i thought maybe thats me but no it could not have been as still no word from them.

Dont think i shall be going back to Lexus Norwich.

  5. Thanks everyone

It looks as if the concencus is they are a bit naff. My car is Blue so i dont think it will look too bad but would really like to see a picture of one already done first.

Have been in touch with Midas and they have already replied telling me how to fit them and that they have them in stock, really helpful.

Still not made my mind up, cant be having a naff Lexus now can we

  6. Hi everyone

I am thinking about gold badging and was wondering about where to get it done. Have asked Lexus Norwich 2 weeks ago and have had no reply from them, dont think they are interested, dont think much of them at all actually.

Had a look at the Midas web site, has anyone had there's done by them.

Also want the front side windows tinted, Tint R in Nottingham seems to be the place according to the posts anyone know somewhere a bit closer to Norwich.

  7. Hi everyone

Have recently bought IS 200 sport and would like to know what tyres are best. I have heard Toyo's are good and also the Goodyear F1 eagle's.

At the moment have Bridgstones on but find they are a bit nervous and tend to tramline a bit.
