Hi Ben,
It's on an 03 in red and has done 108,000 miles. The car looks great except the alloys
-
Hi guys,
I am looking to sell my is200 sport, but I am wondering if I should have the alloys refurbed first or just part ex in its current state?
Any advice would help.
Thanks

Takes 30 secs to enter. C'mon folks!
Done! Let's see if I win!
-
Nothing then guys?
oh dear.....
-
Just thought I would post on here to let you guys know I am selling my'03, Red, IS200 Sport.
Details are on the sale page.
Cheers guys
-
There you go short and sweet.
Stav
Excellent stuff! cheers guys! thats what I like to hear!!!
-
Right guys,
I know there are many topics on keys but it all seems to be about reprogramming.
The case to my key is broken and therefore hanging on a thread.
If i get a new case on eBay can I just use the case from the new and keep my electrics and the blade from my old key???
Cheers guys!

imagine being on a bike and change down a gear and u can accelerate faster ....... but in this case you are changing the final ratio( gear) in the diff instead, so the effect is felt through all the gears
cheers rob.
easy to adjust?
-
change the final drive gearing.
just so happens i have a gear reduction kit
Cheers guys! i will be spending some pennies on her in the near future.
Thought that I may as well do a few things to her while she is in the bodyshop recovering from a collision with a haulage truck!
the gear reduction kit mat, how does that work?
-
none
cheers! that helps!
-
Hi guys can you tell me what i can do to my sport to increase acceleration that doesnt break the bank and to keep the car looking understated?
Cheers
-
I probably cant get it in aerosol form.
If you do fancy doing it yourself, you can get an aerosol from a dealer or Halfords can mix it for you :)
Thanks janey
Do you think it will look okay spray painted?
-
Cheers Guys
Used to spray cars myself but that was about 10 years ago. Besides, I dont have the gear to paint it and aerosol never looks as good. Saying that, I probably cant get it in aerosol form.
You are right abouth the scarletti red issue, it never came in that colour so finding someone who has one in that colour, AND wants to part with it will be a tad difficult.
I will have a nosey around, ask a few people, etc.
-
Ill contact chris.s again too, see if he has any but ill take a second hand one off someone if it is in good condition.
Cheers guys :winky:
-
I thought the Battery charges itself when it is in the ignition?
-
i think you want ones like this
Cheers mate, i will lok into it soon. wing mirror indicators look nice, but not quite what I am after, though it is difficult to explain so I will show you when I have them! :winky:
-
Yep, sounds like there's an air lock in your cooling system, have you had your coolant replaced recently?
Only had the car 2 months. Do not know if they changed it when it had the service before I bought it.
-
A gurgling sound normally means there may be a air lock in the cooling system
Thanks Chris.
Is that something I can sort out myself?
-
I get a gurgling noise when I start the car and wondered if all do this or do I have an issue?
Cheers guys
-
I take it nobody knows?! Or nobody cares?!
Ah well, will keep hunting.
-
anyone got a red sport grille....oh and a user manual to throw in as I need one of those too? :winky:
-
Been looking at getting some wing mirrors that have the indicators in. They really suit the little brum and look so much better than the standards. :zee:
Also, how much do you reckon it will cost to spray them?
Cheers guys and I promise I will have some pics up within the next couple of weeks!!!! :winky:
-
Thanks for that.
Sounds like it could be expensive!!
its not a known issue.few things to check
fan controler switch/sender is working in radiator (if the fans come on/off then it is)
radiator face could be blocked with debris stuck between it and the aircon condenser
the coolant cap is faulty
thermostat is faulty
not enough coolant in the system.........look for leaks, bottom of rad is a pretty regular theme now the cars are getting on a bit, the cause seems to be.....fault as indicated above, as in material stuck between rad and condenser causes the rad to corrode.
hope that helps

Hi
Currently stuck in traffic and it keeps overheating, is this a known problem with the IS200 or do I have issues with my car??
Thanks

Thanks for your advice Ben. You are probably right. I'm thinking of px so I may just drive to the showrooms and see what they have to offer me.
