Hey guys,
My stock revmeter is faulty, tryed fixing it but to no avail.
I'm after stock guage cluster (speedo, revmeter, temp, fuel) for the Aristo MK2.
I was wondering whether any of you know where i could source one from and whether or not the UK GS300s cluster can be used?
I know the Rev meter on the uk one is on the left and petrol/temp guages are on the right so dont know whether this can be used for the Aristo?

Check these out:
http://www.cheaptoyotaparts.co.uk/
I got good discounts on OEM parts and quick delivery. I spoke to Chris, but email gets a equally fast response. :)
Thans mate, used these guys before, very helpful, i was wondering whether a universal one would be ok as there are alot of lambda/02 sensors out there from different companies

Glad thing are heading in the right direction Vazoosh! :D Its a shame their isn't really a lot of activity on the Aristo section on LOC :(
I'm getting their slowly but surely!car is running better now
Yeah, its getting dead in here,we'll try to keep it alive! ;)
-
Well i'll do my best to help, but everything i know is what i've learnt off the net plus trial and error
Yeah and thats the way we learn, cant just know it can we?lol
-
Just been told my lambda sensor needs replacing. It must be why my car is overfueling!
I was wondering whether we have to purchase the OEM sensor or is there universal ones i can use that work just as well as OEM?
-
Vazoosh - any update? Is your car running right now? :)
Not fully Anees, need to get a lambda sensor then back to the tuners!!!!
-
Anees,
just seen his thread on Mkiv supra asking the same question he gave an update on there today:
Hey, only just found out what we had to do to sort out the ignition problem.Basically you have to set the jumper for the ignition voltage at 12v even though it is recommended to set it at 5V.
It is jumper 8.
So basically what i told him two months ago!
Lol, you did tell me but i dont think i came back to this thread as i was getting no answers, i didnt get any over at the supra forums either but found out about the problem after it had come back from the tuners
Sparky, looks like i'll be directing the EMU queries at you next time!!

Hi,
Why do you want the e-mange fitted ?
Its not required until you change the factory turbos.
My car has done 15000 miles with boost upgrade to 1.2 bar all I've done is have a bigger fuel pump fitted...my spec is HKS RS ind kit/V spec FMIC/uprated fuel pump/HKS EVC set to 1.2 bar
I've spoken to Steve about your problems............for what its worth you need to be speaking to the company in warrington who did some work for you.
Hi Dave,
I had problems with the Greddy BCC and want to up the rev limit, sort out fueling etc so i went for the Emanage.
The company in Warrington......hmm.....TDI North didnt look like they knew what they were doing, i had all the mods done for BPU as you know and then took it there to be tuned dynoed and i had no result, money was wasted.
I'm still hoping the Emanage will be running the car soon, i'm trying to get info on getting it working, we had some problems but guys off the Supra forums gave me a bit of an insight, lets see what happens

Hi All,
My Toyota Aristo JZS161 2JZGTE vvti is waiting to be tuned and has had the EMU installed, we had some base problems which seem to be sorted but my tuner said that the car will not run if you put ignition through it but will run without it?
I was wondering whether the problem would be having to get an Ignition Signal Adaptor (i dont know whether this is required on the 2JZGTE vvti?) or do you think its some other problem?
As i said everything else is set up ok but its the problem with the ignition. I really hope someone can help me with this issue or point me in the right direction, many thanks in advance

They know what they are doing...... Believe me it's not often i say that!!
Lol, ok, at least i know they're the right geezers to contact ;)
-
Hi mate,
Been using them for years and never had any trouble. They have done my IS200, my BMW. a few mates IS200's, Evos, Supras and my Aristo. You shouldn't have any issues :D
Obvioulsy being closer to WIM would be the best thing - but we are lucky to have a place like this nearby! :)
Anees
Thats what i like to hear, will def have to give them a visit soon enough.
I'm not too far away from oldham....a 40 minute drive :)
-
I'll be hoping to get a geometry set up myself soon enough when the new wheels are on.
Anees, are these guys good? I have coilovers on my Aristo and it will be on 19's, will these guys be able to do a good camber castor set up/alignment etc

whats wrong with yours ?
The throttle control motor is stuffed, the car will basically idle if you put your foot down too much
Its at Noble motorsport at the moment and they said the error code is telling them the motor is faulty.
is the gs300 one the same ?
Not to my knowledge it isnt as the aristo is vvti
i'm hoping i can get the motor seperately
Steve @ Charleworth has enquired for me,its the price that worries me

I picked up a couple of stock tubbies so just doing a direct replacement, was never meant to go single at this stage, i'm happy with BPU :)
-
i see youve posted over on the supra forum on the used jspec tubbies.
Yeah i have but no reply as of yet
I was wondering if you knew whether the jspec stock turbos are a direct fit for the aristo?
-
I'm now actually thinking about going single but nothing extreme, i'm looking into getting a single t61 turbo kit, upgrading the injectors and getting an aftermarket ecu.
Instead of going through the cost and hassle of getting my turbos hybridised i thought i might as well go down this route
-
Pm me your email addy again Dave
Going to have to hold off on a few things now that i got sort the turbos out

Hi all
I'm new to the club!! :winky: i have a 2001 Aristo tt and i have a little issue with the gearbox, i need a replacement and i can't get my hands on anything so PLEASsssE if any one can help!! if you know anyone breaking or anything ps if you could drop me a line 0794 009 6666. Thank you
Welcome to the club!
Cant help you with the gearbox juts came to say hi,lol
You got mods on your aristo?
-
My mk2 aristo has the basic performance mods eg. fmic, boost contoller, s/s exhaust, de cat etc
It was booked in yesterday at Thor Racing for dyno/boost controller set up etc
The boys at Thor after spending some time on the car came to the conclusion my stock turbos are on their way out and its only safe to run them at 0.7 or 0.8 bar.
The old beast has just clocked 100,000 so i guess its to be expected.
So...basically i am now looking to replace the turbos or get them hybridised.
What do you guys think would be the best option for me and the most cost effective?
Ps. Great day at Thor yesterday, very helpful staff, gave us a good look around and a bit of an education, lol
-
I'm having a full turbo back system made, 3" from turbo back with decat pipe and split into 2 1/4" for the twin exit and then probably have 2 4" backboxs which i'll choose on Monday, the whole system is costing £875 which isnt too bad :)
