Hello all, I havent been on this for a while and have a query im hoping the community can answer. I'm going to put alot of this down to old age and the kids slowly killing my grey cells!😜.........but i dont know if my minds playing tricks on me.

I have a 2014 is250 F sport but cant remember for the life of me if the memory seat buttons light up!!......currently mine dont, but for some nagging thought I thought that they used to light up when the car started up with the car lights activated

I'm hoping some bright spark out there can help

I'm after some info, can the 'Parking' handbrake pedal be swapped out??, an mine is rubber as in the pic......... I have the Accelerator, and the brake pedal as the aluminium sport  pedal but not the parking brake. Does anyone have any info or part numbers on swapping out??

Hey, this used to happen to me as I only used to drive my car once a week, it stopped once i started driving more often I think you might have to give the car a bit more of a drive

I wanted to replace my puddle lights on IS250 14 plate F Sport with LED's! I completed the interior ones no probs even brought the propper tools not to damage the plastic surrounds! I had a couple of Led's left over for the puddle lights, at the time I thought, I leave it for another day. Days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months.............I pondered for ages and ages about the pitfalls of doing this particular job, yourself, even watched quite a few youtube vids! and I knew I shouldn't of done it, but something in the back of my head kept saying..........."Go on son it's a easy job course you can do it, just flip out the mirror no probs", ...........anyway my conscience got the better of me......." yeah why not get this job done!" .........mirror came out fine no probs. I thought to myself "What you worrying about".........then when replacing the mirror back, must have put a bit too much pressure on it.........thought i was being really gentle........ know what happens next.....yup.........cracked the mirror!..............................price from Lexus Reading for replacement £322!!!!.....Whats the deal with Lexus not being able to give you the part number??....The chap on the other end of the line said they are not allowed to give it???.......F.F.S!.........I'm sure theres a saying that says if it aint broke...............

Now looking on eBay for breakers yards that may have a replacement in VGC.

I thought i'd open this up to the Lexus community for your opinions I took receipt of a IS250 F Sport '14 plate last year from Lexus Derby with a years warranty ending in March of this year........Fine no problem

I said If you give it a uptodate service I'd have it, So Lexus Derby did a 30K service for me at 21,643 before they delivered the car to me.

My Current Mileage is 24,452 ..................yup I wrap it in cotton wool and don't drive it too often...................so I've put on about 3k rounded up in the last year

I've received an email from Lexus to say a service is due.......................I know its a year but........come on 3K miles...........is it really worth it

What would you recommend?

Also I've noticed that in the maintenance section in the sat nav screen that 30/3/18 is given as next due date, can this simply be reset, to my choosing???..... or will the world come tumbling down around me If I attempt to mess around with it............LOL..............I used to have a 2000 plate Is200 and it was nowhere near as complicated as this.

What do you all clean your interior leather with and how often? and what do you rate as best leather cleaner?  I have interior Dark Blue in a is250 f sport. In the hand book simply states water and mild detergent??

Well Toyota Newbury will take it, I have 24k on a '14 plate. have been quoted £485 for a full service, does this sound right in your experiences when taking to Toyota?

I did try Toyota in Bracknell but they told me i had to take it to Lexus for a service?....... I thought a toyota dealership would have been able to perform a service for sure. Is it standard practice for Toyota to do this?............ Or should i just ring a few other Toyota dealerships and see if i get a bit more joy?

Yup all carried out, no problems found after the recall notice, they even carried out Navi software update for free, ....after (thanks Ryaans) just stating that its been glitchy............so can't complain

It became apparent today to me while washing my is250 F sport how much i miss my old car. Had this 2000 plate for 13 years and clocked up 187k. it was such a good engine and never gave me any grief.......probably would of still gone for another 100k.....Happy times. What are other peoples oldies but goodies, never to be forgotten??

Hello People, what do you find best for cleaning your alloys?? The suns been out all day and I been on the clean! Of course the Mrs got me roped into cleaning hers!! lol..........glutten for punishment me thinks!!

OK thanks for the help, will give the local dealership a shot 1st and give them "it's getting stuck" routine, failing that, I'll be trying from the thread given!!
