  1. Hi guys I'm having a weird issue with my clutch peddle. Everytime I bring the clutch back the peddle makes a clicking noise around the biting point. The clutch it self seems fine it is working the same as it used to. It's just the clicking noise which is driving me mad. Does anyone have any idea what it may be? Or how to fix it?

  2. Hi guys,

I've just washed the car and when I started the car to move it the trc, abs and door open lights keep flashing, only when I start moving does the trc and abs button stop flashing, until i stop again and then they start flashing, but the door open light keeps flashing even though the doors are all closed.

All is well with the car and haven't had a problem with the trc or abs, its only after this car wash has the car started to play up.

Anyone got any ideas on whats wrong?

    Thanks,

    Anil

  3. Sorry guys, I wasn't reading my dials correctly its usually between 12-15 depending on when I last used the car.

Yeah, I know what you mean I had this system in my old car and had the amp at about 1/3 gain before too, but something isn't right on this HU.

In terms of volume of my sub, I think it's my HU because there is no dedicated preout for the sub on my HU and therefore I can't adjust the volume for JUST the subwoofer through the HU. What can I do?

  4. I've checked all this, it all seems fine. The theory that the battery/alternator isn't working correctly doesn't make all that much sense to me because if I'm listening to the radio really loud and i come to a stop the sound never cuts out? Only when its a CD.

Does anyone have any ideas how to increase the volume to the subwoofer through the head unit? This specific head unit doesn't have options for subwoofer volume, is there any other way to increase the volume of the subwoofer? (The gain is at max already)

I do have a spare 4/6 channel amp, how hard would it be to amp up all the door speakers? I'm abit of a novice when it comes to amps.

  5. Hi guys,

I've got a problem with my Clarion WXZ468RMP, which the previous owner installed (http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-clarion-wxz468rmp_p-23254.htm). Every time I come to a stand still or slow down a lot my head unit cuts out, only when playing CDs really loudly though and also when the radiator kicks in the CD usually cuts off for a few seconds. If I do the same with the radio on, it's fine. Anyone know what may be causing this?

I've also got a Vibe CBR12 EVO Active - 12" Active sub connected to the HU (http://www.mynewcheap.co.uk/products/details/vibe-cbr12-evo-active-12-active-sub/11132/) The problem with this is that I can't put the power up on the amp of the sub without increasing the bass to all my speakers and this means I can't get anywhere near the potential of the subwoofer and amp because the door speakers become distort. The only way to increase the power is through the head unit and there doesn't seem to be an option for increasing the power just for the amp.

Does anyone have this head unit or similar problems? Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Anil

  6. I've actually tested this out, I ended up doing 170miles with £20 worth of petrol, all on the motorway but the last 30miles were at 60 because I was in desperate need for a service station. In the end I got off the motorway and came up toa roundabout and when i took a right exit I found the engine started to slowly cut off and revs dropped quickly and the power steering went for a few second or so until the car straightened up when I'm guessing the car got a feed of petrol back. SCARY STUFF!

At this point the needle was under the middle of the E, any more and I'm sure the car wouldn't run.

  7. I've been using 3G discs (grooved and dimpled) at the front for the past 8 months or so and i'd recommend them, they are @£176 for just the pair of fronts. As mentioned, you really do get what you pay and with brakes, it's worth the extra money for a piece of mind.

The only reason why i goto Ashford is for cineworld and outlet centre. Don't use any garages there.

I found some 3g discs on eBay for £147, do they look legit? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=290303174471

  8. What discs are you getting and from where?

hi mate just seen message , found them from eBay shop they are just grooved gona do the lot they come with ebc black pads

£199 as im in trade wasnt able to get near that price so gona give it a go

if you wana look eBay type in is200 front drill/grooved disc/pads theres not that many with a full set ??

Hi mate, have a look at the following site:

    http://stores.ebay.com/Brake-Masters-Direct-Wholesale

For 250 USD you get front and rear brake disks plus pads. The ship charges are 110 USD to Greece so it should be similar for UK. I have ordered them so once I install then I will inform you about the performance

    Hi mate,

yeah, they look really good. I've never heard of the brake pad make before though? If you could let me know how you get on with them though. Cheers

  9. I was looking into a new exhaust too. I found a video on youtube of a greddy exhaust on an is300 though and it sounds amazing

Do you think that this exhaust can be fitted onto an is200 and whether it would sound similar to that of the is300? Or whether there is another is200 exhaust on the market that sounds like that?
