Some Dufus has kicked my passenger side rear light and was wondering if you still have one for sale and how much, also do you know how easy it is to remove and replace. Thanks

  2. I have had my drivers side wing mirror knocked off and have purchased a second hand replacement. The mounting is the part that is broken.

Does anyone know how easy it is to replace the mounting (between door and mirror)? Is this something I could do myself with little mechanical experience?! Are there any manuals available that might show me how to do this?

I realise that I may need to install the whole wing mirror, but would prefer just to do the mounting as otherwise I have to try and swap the coloured parts on the back of the mirror with my current one as well.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Phil

  3. if you also remove the plastic along the bottom of door and kickplates theres a bolt at the very bottom left of glovebox.

This will help you move the dash a bit for a bit more room.

  5. Amp by-pass lead £30 odd off e-bay, facia plate £15 odd off e-bay, aftermarket stereo of your choice, thats what I did, if you get another oem stereo chances are it'll break again.

Only thing if you get aftermarket stereo you may have to change speakers if you have your music at ear-bleeding levels.

hey I did just that however having trouble installing the by pass leads, can you give me any advice. located the ampl but cant figure out how the hell u unplug the leads at back and insert the by pass one, theres just no room.

  6. Are you going to be using the standard speakers?

Either way, you'll need a head unit adapter lead to enable you to plug a standard ISO connector into the existing wiring loom:

    eBay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lexus-is200-se-sport...1QQcmdZViewItem

(The flipping price has gone down - I paid £50 for this a month ago!)

And a fascia adapter to let your fit the head unit:

    eBay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lexus-IS200-Car-Ster...1QQcmdZViewItem

That's for starters, will get the head unit talking to the standard speakers.

I'm in desperate need of some help, i've bought a bypass lead from eBay however having trouble getting to the leads at thebackof the amp, any advice

  7. the noise is the solenoid on the starter - there is enough power in the battery to activate it but not enough to turn the motor. as mat said it needs a new battery UNLESS you left something on and it drained the battery.

Not really I've noticed recently that the cars been starting up slowly and when I went to London for a 3 days came back the engine took quite a while to start. The Electrics works fine so far, turned opn stereo and its fine. However the CD players knackered now as I think the copied CD's I put in has jammed all 6 changers :(

  8. I'm a bit new to this forum thing so any help would be much appreciated, I tried to start my car today but it kepts on making a clicking noise a bit like a machine gun (seriously) when turning the key to the far right and holding it there. The Electrics seem fine I think as the the stereo still works but when checking the clock on the center console it resetted back to 01:00.

I've checked the Voltometer and its set half way (9V), anybody have any ideas as I dont won't to take it to the garage as they may try and rip me off and Lexus parts can be expensive

    Thanks

  9. OK last night i put an greddy intake on and the drove the car it seemed fine. this morning i got in tried to start it and it wouldnt start. i could here noise from starter mortor.

could it be the induction kit? the battery or the alternator? when i try start it the battery gauge just flys down straight away. but when i turn the key one notch it sits on 9v.

He the sound that uit makes is it a clicking sound, I think I have the same problem now :(

When I turn the key and keep it turned a clicking noise a bit like a machine gun comes from the engine. The voltometer stays at 9v(half way)
