Hi guys

How did you get on with additional remotes and programming of these. I only have one key so need to get another one sorted. By the way what would lexus charge for this?

My original tyres (Dunlop) were very badly worn on both outer edges at 22,800 miles and I drove all the way to Watford to see Mr. Bones to get it set up properly. The tyres were nearly down to the carcass by then. Tony worked very hard for me but sadly I had to get the tyres he put on (Dunlop) changed after only 13,500 miles as they had worn practically down to the carcass on both outer edges as well. I went to Lexus Bristol and said what had happened and had a full geomentry done there which was September 2008. I'd put on four new Bridgestone Potenza'a and have found them quieter and haven't found the problems some say happen with them on this forum. So far I've done 22,500 miles on these tyres and still have a good deal of tread left to go. I'm also very happy to report that the wear is very uniform across the full width of both front tyres so I feel that the cost of the Lexus geometry was money well spent.

I have just bought a 05 RX 300 se-l and the tyres were worn badly on the outer edges as you have described. The dealer ( not Lexus) changed the front tyres as part of the deal. Should i take the car to the Lexus center and get geomentary set to stop problems reocurring on new tyres or can a local tyre fitter do it. What would Lexus charge me for this.

Also if there are any other issues large or small you think i need to get looked at i would appreciate your advice. Fabulous car by the way!!

I'm pretty sure they can be changed as I remember someone changed the wood trim for the metallic trim out of the RX400h. However the steering wheel probably needs a replacement wheel rather than just replacing the inserts so might be a costly item.

Thanks for that Parthiban. You have jogged my memory on the wood inserts - i will have a look through the fourm and see what comes up. I viewed the car today and am very excited - what a machine its just down to price now.

Just on the 05 updates any idea what these where. I know Bluetooth was added and nav screen resolution changed - was that it ?

Thinking of buying 05 RX SE-L but it has wood inserts on steering wheel, gear stick and part of the dash. As these are ordred as an extra can they be replaced with standard inserts.

Does anyone know what changes the RX was given as part of 05 revisions.

Are there any other LOC Belfast Members out there ??

I own a is 200 se purchased from Lexus Belfast through the approved used scheme-but had to reject the car first time around due to it being poorly prepared and have had issues with them since.

Anyway, really enjoy the car and peoples reaction to it- not many on the roads over here- but thinking of changing. Can't make up my mind between a new model IS in mesa red or a RX 300 or a GS 300 -any suggestions.Tony
