  1. on its own no, you need the rear aswell

yeh sorry for not getting back sooner. yeh was gonna get the rear aswell. will it make a noticible differance or any benefit in having them. i dont do any track stuff in it. (at the moment :shutit: ) and would getting strut braces make it even better for handling??

  2. i would agree with paranoid. town driving is pretty crap but get in to lots of corners and shes alot of fun and can challenge alot of cars.... i love big 4x4's hahah come get me... :). the engine noise is so nice i find myself turning the stereo off just to listen to its sound. second gear at really low revs ohh yes..

  3. I can't work out how the sunroof drains being blocked can put water in the boot. Where do they drain to normally?

My car had some water in the boot too, and some green sludge, probably because it's never been cleaned out properly. I've cleaned it all out now, but want to fix the problem for good.

the drain pipes run down to the rean down the pillars and then to the boot ( its the black pipe you can see at either side of the boot wells(dont know if thats what you call them) then to under the can where they exit.

  4. if its red it could just be the oil from the pre oiled filter (they usually put i good lot on), just clean it up with a rag or cloth but just keep an eye on it. my k&n did the same.

thanks again man, i will clean it up tomorrow. i left it in before so hope its done no damage :crybaby:

  5. yo. i recently fitted the hks filter and a week after i installed it i checked it again to see what it looked like and noticed that there was a small pool of red oil sitting to the left of the filter. should i soak it up or is that little hole thingy a drain for it. or is this normal at all?

comments as always verry appreciated :D

  6. yo. today i took my car to lexus to see if they could figure out why there was water collecting in the left and right sections of the boot well  . the service manager had a look around and thaught it could be the sunroof drains are blocked. just wanted to hear all your guys thaughts and oppinions as i trust and respect your comments over any dealers "expert" opinion. it was like this when i bought it but i made sure it was part of the deal that i could get it sorted at their cost. any comments always appreciated

i just sorted mine out. if you take out the rear lights (2 10mm hex heads under plastic caps) you may see some corrosion. seems to be a weak spot. i just used some black silicone for short term but dont think it worth takin any more action unless the water returns. just pull the small plugs out an the water will empty out.

    good luck mate

thanks man i will check it out at the weekend.

  8. Hi,

Another question for you guys, when im driving along say about 20 ish and i put on my A/C i notice a drain in power from the engine as if it slightly decelerates. just wondering if anyone else has experienced it and if its anything to worry about also what could be causing it.. must admit i never noticed this when i picked up the car and was driving down the dual carriageway. any help as always very appreciated.

    cheers .

  9. Hi today i noticed that when i use my clutch you can hear a squeek coming from under the car. where and how can i lube this so it goes away or is it a sign of something worn. or could it just be the actual pedal. any help would bbe appreciated as always guys.

thanks in advance. its not major just annoying

I have the same, heard it when I drove with the music off so I could listen to the car ( I do this every now and again) It only happens some of the time and from what I have gathered its nothing major so I just live with it.

Haha Abbas thats exactly how i noticed mine, just cant get enough of the engine sound. ;)

  11. AAhhh well, thaught it was a long shot. £45 pounds yes please. i was also thinking about modding the standard aluminium scuff plates as it couldnt be that hard to make them illuminated.

Thanks everyone who commented, a big help as i was going crazy looking for them.
