if it is like all Toyotas then it is simple - just push both the lock and unlock buttons on the key together at the same time, near the car, and it re-synch's the key with the car.

There is lots of information on the web to reprogram the key to the car but try inserting the non actice key in the door lock and opening the doors with it (manual entry.) I have read this will reactivate the key automatically.

If not google "Lexus RX300 key reprogram" where the full proceedure will be found.

I have a 2004 RX300 and have just replaced the batterys in the 2 keys .

Now only one of the keys will unlock and lock the doors! the keys will still start the car.
