  1. yup its a custom job no standard colours here lol

the kit i cant even remember where i got it from it was tough to get hold of know that but am trying to rebuild the one i crashed, its been 3 years with a standard lexus whilst paying for the one i crashed as my fully comp insurance kicked in 3 days after i had the crash.

But will be much nicer this weekend when i get the airbag suspension back on it and get those damn wheels resprayed lol

  2. Hi everyone,

Been a while since i was last here, after crashing lowreds beutiful lexus is200, i finished all my crying and eventually got my arse in gear on the rebuild. :whistling:

first to find a damn cheap lexus i can put my mark on, eventually found one in the burn orange colour at £3600 which was great until the laquer started peeling. :tsktsk:

next to find a bodykit the same as the one lowred had used, finally found one of them whole kit set me back another £900 :winky:

the wheels on the car were all imports from america so after damaging one in the accident thats another £300 :tsktsk:

then i realised the biggest mistake id ever made was putting locking wheel nuts on the car key got knackered on one so had to drill the rest out small cost but time was a killer!!!

ok so now i have the bodykit on and fitted a sport xhaust fitted weels all back on the car..... damn laquer looks crap so in for a respray another £2500 tried getting as close to the red on low reds but ended up a fraction darker B)

ok so for the fun bit i have obviously got all the airbag suspension kit to go back on the car this weekend fingers crossed, the airbags have been all rebuilt by a local factory and the compressor has new rings etc. :shifty:

unfortuanatly i dont think i have any pics of the car in stages but will post some tomorrow afternoon when i get the car back out of the spray shop.

    Watch this space ppl !!!!! :D :D :D

Looking for some good advice on turbo or supercharger, wont ever want it over 240bhp as i have a astra vxr too and never want to take the joy out of driving it besides how fast does it really need to be!!!!

  3. Hey Everyone,

I haven't been in here for a while as i have been trying to get my car back to its modified state after writing off low reds work.

I have got the front lip and the spoiler and the wheels all back on the car, Well i did have the wheels back on the car driving home from my parents on friday night i hit a raised drain cover with no warnings this has actually flattened and cracked the rim on the front passenger side, this is the least of my worries as i couldnt get it moved i left it over by my mums when today i get a call from the police stating the car has been broken into.

Well broken into was one thing smashing 2 of my windows one of which being the back window kicking of my exhaust and attempting to rip out my dvd player is vandalism as far as im concerned.

So now after putting a few things back to normal i have gotta find a new dvd player a new rim a new tyre and 2 windows one of which needs tinting and the exhaust system replacing.

Only thing i can say is :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk:

Well ppl just my feelings for the day to let everyone know there day has been a good day considering :( ........... :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk: :tsktsk:

  4. Hi there and welcome to the LOC,

Lovely car you have there with an unusual aftermarket splitter on the front. Any idea which that is?

Anyways, enjoy the club and what it has to offer,

    All the best,

    Jamie

i have no idea as this is how i have purchased the car i believe it has been at some of your meets before as it has the lexus owners club stickers all over it

finding it with all the work is done was just great cant believe the bloke wanted rid of it he swapped for a BMW Z3

  5. Hmm :eerrrmm: a most satisfying conundrum. My instant thought would go to the bearings but if they're fine then I'd be a bit lost. Have you inspected the brake discs/pads for any catching or rubbing? That's where I'd look. Other than that, not really sure. Take it to a mechanic to be looked at if all else fails.

Congrats on your purchase, welcome to the LOC, sorry to hear about your bad experiences, hopefully they won't last. We're always here for any snippets of information you may need - whether they are correct or just made up, well.... lol!

    Keith

im beginning to think its the back plate rubbing on the disc but removing the wheel may be a bit of a problem as the garage i have bought it from kindly forgot to give me the wheel key

so is there anyway to bend the backplate slightly without removing the wheel

im calling the garage now so if all else fails he should send me the key

    thanks

  6. ok now i aint sure this is the hydro's but nether the less i have had it right up in the air and low down and still seem to have the same problem when i turn corners i get this high pitch squeeking or if i go over bumps i get it also

i really cant drive my luxury lexus is200 with this damn squeeking happening seems to come from the rear wheels and the faster i take a corner the more i get it beginning to really pi*s me off checked play on the wheel bearings but that seems to be fine and i dont get any knocking whilst driving the bushes all seems fine with no perishing or hardly any wear and tear the car has just got through its mot with only thing being advisory is the tyres but they all got changed

i have just purchased the car and its beginning to worry me

    please somebody help
