  1. There is a tipical problem with the IS, specially if the catalitic converters are damaged !

    The ECU doesn't read or receives a malfuction, but reduces the fuel supply to the engine, by assuming a voltage reading different from the necesary under the actual load through the O2 sensors.

    That blows the engine, cuased by engine knock at mid-hi RPM's....it happend to me.

    Solution:

    Eliminate all 3 catalitic converters

    Install a O2 simulator on the rear O2

    Add all gas you need, and the ECU won't detect any "out of parameter" rich mixture needed for S/C or

    turbo engines (@11:1).

  2. I own a Lexus IS200, european Specs, but I live in the Dominican Republic.

    Another problem is that the Lexus dealer here dosn't wants to deal with internal part of this radio.

    The radio is OEM for Lexus IS200, VIN No. JTDBS182300018779 and has this specifications:

    Toyota: 86120-53030

    Fujitsu Ten: 122000-1050A101

    Serial: A7000496

    The problem is that the radio doesn't control the FM stations, for which the tecnitian refers to the FM tuner control.

    No. on the FM tuner housing: 12-3310A

    9201B2

    FM Tuner frequency: UKW87.5 to 108.0 MHz.

    Please help on how to obtain this needed part.

  3. I've sent my ECU to the guys at AUTOSPORT. The results were satisfying and according to detals, only that when I installed the SC I had to exchange ECU's with another is200 because of the excess timing generating detonation.

    AUTOSPORT was an excellent choice !!!

    0-1/4 mile: 4-5 five cars differece as specified.

    George...I would go for it; it's the only reliable choice before SCing.

  4. Mine has it ! I was told that it is a shield in front of the sunroof that is broken.

    You have to take down the interior roof panel to fix.

    I haven´´t foxed mine because all mechanics will spoil the interior roof panel with their dirty hands and I want to do it myself.

    I´ll check it out and let know.

  5. I´ll chech everything over tomorow, I´´ll be chnging all 3 belts and will check tensioner.

    Fargo: The problem was excess power to the tranny, It´´s possible that this one will last more because of the upgrade during acceleration from the ESK. This system limits the discs from slipping by generating excess pressure in the system

  6. Can anyone give me the Ref. and make for the belt of the 1st stage upgrade from TDI.

    I have to chnge it and I don´t live in UK.

    Shipping Only would be @ £75.00, much more than the belt.

    Maybe with this details I can make some cross reference.
