I'd agree with the 60000 figure personally as there have been several cases where the belt gets very thin............and at mileage less that 100k

It should be changed at 60,000 miles - i'd get it done as quickly as you possibly can as a precaution.

I have a 2001 regigistered IS200 SE with 75,000 miles on the clock. The handbook shows that the timing belt should be replaced at 100,000 miles. However the Lexus dealer suggests changing it now. Does anyone have any advice on when this should be done
