I've just reserved to pick up tonight or tomorrow

Lad's i tried to start again this morning after 2 days parked up and did not start does this indicate anything? or shall i just go with buying a new Battery?

Am going to replace the batter then; shall i go halford or main dealer?

Also what Battery do i need to get?

I got to put my baby's car seat in front passenger seat for my wife so i need to disable the air bag; is there a easy way of doing this?

I have IS200 Y plate (2001)

I haven't replaced the bettery yet but i might just do that, its a 2001 car. yeah i think he is trying ti rip me off.

how can i measure the volts on the Battery?

I started my lexus IS200 yesterday morning and the Battery was dead so I took the Battery to the garage where the kind my re-charged it for me and then said "why don't you come back with your car once you fitted the Battery and i will check your alternator" so am thinking oh thats nice of him so i went back and he took out some old electrical tester and he tested the Battery and he cam to the conculsion that the Alternator is not re-charging the Battery and it only does when i give it loads of gas. He quotes me £300+vat for a new one and then £180 for a re-condition one.... wow that is a lot of money so I said to him i will let him know. Is there anyway of finding out that the problem is with the Alternator or the Battery? All commnets and views welcomed please
