A stupid question I'm sure! I have just taken delivery of a new IS 220D. The Odometer is set to trip A. Could anyone please tell me how to return it to the cars actual mileage. I took a look in the manual but couldn't find an answer. Thanks.
just press the button to the left of the odometer it has 3 settings trip A trip B and the mileage. i hope you enjoy your new car.

I would agree with most of the comments made above, adding the following:
1. Remember that the bluetooth will not let you dial whilst moving, or even select an entry from the phone book! That is of course Nannying gone mad, but it is a major inconvenience.
2. The DVD will not play images whilst moving, so has very limited functionality.
3. You cannot add speed camera POIs to the Sat Nav, again a major inconvenience.
4. There is no 7-digit postcode search in my 2007 model, I believe it is still the case with the 2008 models.
5. Most annoying of all you cannot enter destinations whilst moving, a safety feature which will ensure that if I ever buy another Lexus I will never specify a built-in Sat Nav system again.
Of course you can over-ride nos. 1,2 and 5 with major hardware surgery, but it's a hassle.
Good luck!
If you store your phone numbers onto speed dial you can phone on the move.

hi all i am new to this site i have read a lot about mpg on the 220 so i though i would share how i have got on. i have had the car 6 weeks its a 57 plate 220MM got 57.5mpg from leicester to london and back with 4 persons and bags forget 6th gear stay in 5th at 70, i think i would have got more had it not been for the road works. love the car and the toys. looking forward to your replies.

That's great news! Wish I could share it, had mine done about 600 miles ago but no difference at all yet. I seem to really struggle with MPG at the higher speeds for some reason, real effort to squeeze 40mpg even with cruise control in 5th (or 6th) on a motorway run. Do OK on round town only (30-33mpg). Motorway runs I only creep up to 38mpg normally and that's driving very sensibly, mostly with cruise.
Suffer most the squeaks and rattles too..
Still, love the toys and the car mostly - just look on with some envy at the petrol autos!
