  1. For some reason my right front tire (even replaced) keeps going flat. I've talked to other people and some have the same problem (IS300 05). Also when I try to floor the gas pedal, it doesn't go anywhere, until I let go of it, then puts me into the backseat like a whiplash effect. What should I do? I've taken it down to Lexus Carlsbad and they've told me thats how the car is, and they don't see anything wrong with the tire, but everybody notices the tire going out.

For the tire, make sure that the rims are in good shape, otherwise the tire will make a poor seal. Usually when you get new tires put on, they grind or clean up the rims, make sure that they did this.

As far as the pedal goes, I imagine the lexus has an electronic accelerator, if you push down too quickly, the sensor doesn't pick up the full motion, my cadillac does this a little bit too.

  2. My car alarm started going off randomly about every 5 minutes. I started the car and let it run for about 10 minutes, then I thought that solved the problem. However, it just started going off again. Does anyone know how to disable it?

i would take negative wire off Battery . then let it sit untill i could have it serviced . i would put cable back on Battery then drive directly to get it serviced .or be ready to connect and disconnect Battery ever time you park

  3. hello, hey 5w-30 its for all newer cars with very low mileage, less then 50 to 70 thousand miles, but for high mileage you have to use 10w-40 oil, that's what i would use,, go to your auto parts store and ask them for very high mileage oil for your vehicle. don't forget you must do your full tune up ...like oil change, oil filter and new oil. i think its about time for a few things to be replace.. for that high mileage like fuel filter, spark plug and wires, pcv valve, air filter, its time for transmission oil and filter change,, well this is just an advice so that your vehicle lasts longer , its called maintenance.. look in your maintenance manual .. good luck..

  4. What do you think I should get considering I am a 18 year old athletic type male and want to impress chicks. My parents say I can have maximum of $30,000 USD to buy a car with less then 50,000 miles and preferably CPO. I am debating between a 2004 or 2005 RX 330 or a 2003 Land Rover Range Rover. What should I get, I also want the car to be reliable, good in the snow, classy, decent handling. The main problem is the RX seems feminine, while the Range Rover seems over the top and I heard they brake down a lot. Or FX 35 or E320 4matic but it seems to old for me

Also fyi right now I have a 98 White Lexus ES 300 with 89,000 miles. How much is that worth trade in at a Lexus or Land Rover Dealer.

    Thanks

  5. best way is to apply as little paint to your brush as possible or you will end up with large blobs. for a chip gently dab it with your brush. a scratch requires an even stroke. Personaly i would use an fine artists brush as the one with your kit are too large and apply too much paint. dont use the laquer until colour is dry as they blend together and change apperance.

    Good luck.

  6. The RX300 comes with either conventional coil springs or air suspension - in the SE-L version - that allows the ride height to be varied depending on the conditions. It has a high centre of gravity, making it roll in corners but the ride is generally comfortable. There's no low-ratio transfer 'box or locking centre differential for off-roading, but the car uses electronic traction control systems to tackle any obstacles and keep the thing moving.

  7. My 01 Rx300 has a problem.. When the car turns on (8/10 times) the engine has somewhere a problem.. When you turn the key you hear the starter turn and a sec. later the car turns on, but the Tach needle only moves to 500-750RPM, and it feels like its going to stall out. Then I rev it to 2500RPM's and when it idles it goes to the normal 1000RPM idle. On other occasions the car has a very hard time to start. You turn the key and you hear the starter trying to turn the engine over, but when it finally does, the car just dies... Sometimes it takes about 8 tries to finally get it to turn over.. Whats wrong with it?

    What can the problem be?
