  1. Only talked to the previous owner today so didnt really get too many details, but he did say he is sure it went back to lexus for the repair, will phone lexus Monday.

Its only just started to go rusty very slightly on the inside lip of the wheel arch, lexus did say last week they would strip it down and treat it before the respray.

what do you mean by invalidate the anti corrision warrenty?

  2. I've had my 52 plate is200 just 8 months from Lexus, and this week discovered it has been involved in a minor bump after contacting the previous owner.

I noticed some rust around the front of the of the wheel arch rear passenger side etc.. Lexus are going to repair under warrenty but they hadnt seen rust on such a new car so got me thinking so contacted the previous owner.

Should i just let them repair or is there anything i can do etc

  3. Thinking about changing cars, sorry love the IS200 but thinking about a TT..

    anyway I have a 52 plate registered Nov 2002 IS200 SE

Very low milage only 15k on the clock with FSH

Perfect condition, with Sports grill, mudflaps and chrome door sills everything else is standard.

How much would you expect from a private sale and from trade in?

  4. I talked to Sheffield Lexus earlier this week regarding rear parking sensors only, they quoted around £200 for the sensors and then 2 hours fitting at £140 + VAT on both.

If they need painting to match bumper thats an extra £30, but think you can get them in certain colours already.

    Hope that helps.

  5. Have a look in my garage. I just got a vent mount from eBay, about £5 and have it to the right of the sterring wheel.

Good visability while driving.. I just have the Bluetooth GPS just placed in the middle of the dash normally.

Works well and even if the charger is being used the wires dont really get in the way.

The ipaq just has a little magnet on the back, so its so easy to use.

  6. Since ive had to swap my IS200 Sport for the IS200 SE im now looking for a few items..

Can anyone help source these and give me rough idea how much should be paying.

    1. Sports Grill

    2. Mud Flaps

    3. Front Spats (Plat ice)

    4. Tinted Rear windows

    5. Metal Scuff Plates (Front and rear if poss)

    6. Spoiler

    7. Drilled Sports Pedals

    any help or links appreciated.

  7. Problem is the angle of my drive and the pavement etc it just catches the catalystic cover.

Didnt have any problems with the IS200 S just with the Sport..

Anyway test driving an SE tomorrow.. got a 52 plate with only 9k on the clock lined up if its ok.

Might have to then look into the rear spoiler, tints and a sports grill.

  8. Just upgraded to an IS200 sport and wondering how much lower it is than the S or SE?

Its gutting but i have to say i am going back to lexus tomorrow to see if I can replace the car, as I have issues with the pavement and ride height for getting out of the garage.

Lexus should replace the car shouldnt they?

  9. I checked the insurance out this afternoon.. It works out that I get a refund of £11 for the next 2 months before my renewal is due if i change my V reg is200s to the newer Is200 Sport..

    go figure!

Just been underground lol...just not had much chnace to come in the forums or in chat.. maybe it will change with the new lexus

  10. Im thinking about changing my IS200 S and have seen 2 near identical cars..

    IS 200 SE

    11,000 Miles

    Silver

    2002

    IS200 Sport

    21,000 Miles

    Silver

    2002

What would people go for both are the same price.. and both very different from the S so please help me..

  11. Thought id totally clean the lexus from top to bottom this weekend, polish the glass, the bodywork, interior, wheels..

Well did the glass inside and out with the glass polish..

I even started shaking the bottle of Super Resin Polish but for some daft :tsktsk: reason did the entire car body work with the Glass polish...

Lets just say im not amused... the car is now very dull and my arm is killing me

    :iraqi-info-minister:

  12. Ive just had my rear pads changed today.. also done 58k

I cheated and got the local garage to do it.. didnt have any other option, heard a scraping noise.... 30 min job for them.

£69 for the rear pads, fitting and VAT... is that good or bad or the norm..

(Im sure this wear on the rear pads should have been spotted when it was serviced and MOT under 2 months ago.. but thats another story)
