Looking at getting an IS300h, and was thinking of getting the extra metallic black, but having a look at the normal black with the showroom shine, it looks pretty nice.

The Sales guys in the dealer were trying to talk me out of it aswell, that noone ever gets it on the IS300h.

Any thoughts?

these dont look as strong as the LS300, but its only 50 euro :)

right how embarrassing would it be if i said that i went out and sat in the car, put on the lights to verify that there wasnt a switch, got the manual out (which i should have had in the first place) and found out there is a light in the miggle of the roof not only the personal lights. ack !

What will i find out about the car tomorrow ! :)

2003 IS200.

two quick things that have been at me.

1) there doesnt appear to be an option to turn on the light on the inside when the doors open, only an on and off for the driver/passenger side. bit unusual for a car ?

2) when i put the car into reverse it makes a beeping sound like a truck does ! i had to get someone to jump out to make sure that noone outside heard it... tell me thats not standard ! :)

cool so the IS300 arm rest will fin into an IS200.

Id like to put in an arm rest into my IS200. I saw them available for the Alfa Romeo when i had one of those but never went ahead with it.

Hey guys.

looking into getting a car now and have my eyes on a nice Lexus.

ive got about 15k euro (about 11k £) to spend and looking at the UK autotrader compared with the Irish one i could save at least a couple of grand on importing it in, even after the hefty 4k+ VRT tax that we have to pay on importing cars (this is for the lexus model).

Anyone have any suggestions on this ? any tips ?
