  1. I think you need one or more new air shocks. Let you dealer make a suspension test and you'll be more clever aferwards.

BTW, my rear right shock died after a hub beering swap. Take a look at the picture below(sorry for the bad quality) where you can see the RR shock working at just 5%

  2. Hey Mike. Did you resolve the problem? Have you ever tried to change the dampening force through the rod of the actuators? Yesterday i tried to soften the ride, but haven't noticed any difference since then. According to the service manual, the rod has to be turned to left, if you want to soften the dampening. I tried that with the actuator's rod. I'm not sure whether i should do that with the strut's rod also... Help :)

  3. Well, i told to myself that since my facelifted brake lamps are LED, it would be great if i replace the stock bulb in the center brake light for LED's and here's the result. In the matter of fact, the new LED's are way brighter and look nicer :) 30k8s2w.jpg

    Hi all

I have just paid a small fortune to have a bulb replaced in the break light in the centre of the rear window of my LS430. I would normally complete this sort of thing myself but claer instructions appear to be hard to find. Could anyone help in providing instruction for next time this bulb requires replacing; I am sure other lexus owners would find this useful. Thanks

You would have to push the break light to the left and then carefully pull it up.

Cool, :) I stand corrected. Always nice to learn something new ;)

  5. Took delivery of a LS460 3 months ago. Everything about the car is great apart from one thing "the gearbox". Now I have previously owned a 400 and a couple of 430's and on all of these the gear change was imperceptible. On the 460 the changes are quite noticeable and the box always seems to be hunting for the right gear.

Have taken this up with the garage where I bought it but they just say that it is a learning gearbox and will take time to learn my driving style!

The problem is most noticeable when driving slowly and spoils an otherwise smooth drive.

As this box was heralded as the first auto eight speed is it a case of too many gears spoiling the car

If anyone else experienced this I would like to hear.

Hi WESTIE, what model year is your LS460? Does it happen mostly after being stopped in the Drive position for a few seconds? If so, take a look at the following service bulletin. http://ulozto.net/1954694/tc009-07.pdf ==> FREE DOWNLOAD
