The RX is a pretty much faultless vehicle - as yours is a 2003/03 - right on the cusp of the facelift - can you clarify which one you have as some issues are model dependant?

What I meant was does your car look like the RX 400h or not? Thats the period when they introduced a totally different vehicle (Mark II) so some issues that may affect your car will depend if it is a MKI or MKII.

I thought the early ones didn't play mp3? I'm pretty sure that this only came in quite recently as I test drove an 04 plate last year and I don't remember it having it

What disk exactly are you asking about?

The DVD Update disk for the sat nav mate.

OH and would someone mind dropping me a PM with regards to soucing a discount on a disk?

I have the DVD nav system in my RX 300 (picking up on Friday) so cannot test right now so do any of you know whether the factory system on this model (03) supports MP3 playback?

If so can it be via CD-R or DVD?

I know how you feel right now - the waiting game is a killer!

Might be worth asking them which version of the DVD satnav disk the vehicle is carrying, if its the original one, now might be the time to ask for a deal on a replacement disk if you would end up doing that. If they cannot offer a sensible discount, I'm sure the guys here will know where to source such a discount.

And if you are a music lover with an i-Pod and have yet to purchase an integration kit, forget the Lexus solution and get the Vaistech SLi, you will be amazed!

Really interested in the Vaistech have looked through the forums and have found some good info so appreciate it. I know im new and should know my place but I think many people would be interested and it may be worth sticking and grouping all of the Vaistech info.

especially as I was going to pay to retrofit the lexus Ipod solution by which all acounts people on here are saying is poor.
