  1. im having the same problem, drivers side. Ive been given the run around by a number of mechs. I've had the caliper taken apart lubed up twice and it keeps sticking, brakes changed etc etc. I've seen that a new caliper is about £124, but i've already spent a fortune on the car already. does anybody know of a good (cheap) supplier?

I have had my front nearside caliper sticking since I got my car 6 months ago, in that time it has had new discs/pads and the caliper released twice. Last week car failed MOT due to the brakes and I finally had to get a new caliper which i got off eBay for £100. Also had to get the rear offside released as it was sticking so suspect it might need replaced some time soon.

Like the fusion pete I could also cook on the wheels but running cold all round now and as expected car runs a lot better!. Love the car but what is it with the brakes........

  2. Awesome, thanks for the advice will have a hunt around....

Discovered that my car isn't in Royal Sapphire (ooops) but a variation of Navy Blue code 8n8

Apparently Lexus don't produce grilles in that colour but according to one Lexus Dealership i spoke to if i bought a Royal Sapphire one you wouldn't really notice the colour difference too much... is this true? Does anyone else have this colour combo goin??

    Cheers

8n8 is dark blue mica m8 the same paint as mine i have a different blue grille i think it is the royal sapphire one

I thought 8N8 was Strathcaron Blue? That's the code on my car and the grille is not available as standard in that colour. Lexus Glasgow can get me the Sapphire Blue for £47.29 and looking at your picture I will probably get it as looks OK!.

  3. Good topic this as I was thinking about HIDs for dipped beam as my first mod, I was going to get 6000k but will now go fo 4300k.

A bit wary of the possible MOT failure mention but I would have thought if your alignment was OK then it should pass?.

Can anyone confirm the bulb size for dipped on a 02 IS200 Sport?

Is the eBay kit in the link above easy to fit or will I need an auto electrician?

  4. All went well with the test drive last night and assuming the dealer gets the alloys refurbished and front brakes fixed on time should collect on Saturday afternoon. :D

Nice car to drive, shifts well once the revs are up and lots of toys as standard!

Reminds me a lot of my old sadly missed 323F ZXi V6 to drive

  5. Many thanks for the quick replies and info, links etc as it has saved me a lot of time.

I will take the checklist along tonight and post tomorrow to let you know how it goes.

Good to see the people on here are a helpful as the 323F crowd

  6. Hi,

I am going to look at a 02 IS200 Sport (33k on the clock ), tonight found this site and thought I would say hello :D

Currently own a Mazda 323F Sport and have been on the www.club323f.com site for several years.

Will trawl over the site before I take the test drive tonight but if anyone can point out anything I should look out for that would be great...........

If all goes well tonight I will be back with more questions!
