  1. Hi guys & gals want to convert my LS400 to LPG. I called the chap that Haylands recommended but unfortunately the distance to get to Hull would mean that the price would be the same as getting it done locally.

I rang round the approved fitters listed on the LPGA website and they actually confused me more. I have been told that the 2 best systems for my car is the Prins and the BRC. This is where it gets interesting as some say that the new BRC Plug & Drive system is much better than the Prins system but then others say that its the other way round. Then one company even said they wouldnt touch either system with a barge pole as they are far too complicated.

Then they said they would fit the flash lube kit for free but then a few guys said that that is a fallacy and wouldn't need to be fitted at all. Is this true?

The next option to choose would be the tank size and whether to get a 4 hole or single hole. One chap said that they make no difference as both pipes are 8mm thick and that they would fill at the same rate. Is this True?

The prices ranged from £1657 +vat to £2200 + vat.

I'm leaning toward a company called Herts Autogas but was wondering if anyone has used them before? Is there any recommendations for anyone else? Thanks for any suggestions.

Hope i haven't rambling too much..

i would recommend "andrew" do a search on e bay "lpg wales" and you should find him, he has converted my rolls royce spirit and a land cruiser, wxcellent, will do the same day, guess @ £12oo but ring him, you wont find a more helpful guy! and spend the day in wales.

  2. Hi Guys,

This isn't an advert so not breaking rules! Just need a bit of advice for what you would say my 1990 LS400 might be worth so I can put a reasonable minimum value on it when posted on EBAY. 154,000 on clock; reasonable condition run it daily, have my own service record over 4 years. What you think?

    Grateful for any opinions.

    Cheers,

    JM
