Should I be worried about the replacement of the front 2 shocks for 53 plate with 35k on the clock?
-
Hi.
If you are not in a rush you may find a late model for a very good price like I did.
Is 6.5 for 53 plate IS200 LE with 35k on the clock and full lexus history a good price from a dealer?
-
well i have limited experience having changed one on rav4 recently! prob not the same kinda setup in a v6 tho!

So ive found a nice LE on a 53 plate with no additional extras above standard spec for the model. kodiak sky, exmoor leather, 32k on the clock, full lexus history, 1 owner car, supporting invoices and mot. 6.7g - any thoughts?

Thanks for the heads up but im holding out for 'the one'!

£6.3 is alot I think now for an IS. Becasue of the hideous tax and high running costs, the IS's just aren't fetching top £. The LE are limited edition. They came with differenct alloys, paint colour, grill and often towards the end of the IS200 life span, pretty much everything, full leather, sat nav etc etc
It was a 2004 car though with only 32k on the clock (if it's the one I'm thinking of). That's cheap.
And the £400 tax is on hold remember, still £210 a year to tax.
I ran some total cost of ownership numbers against a golf gt tdi 140 with the neat dsg box and the lexus faired a little better. i know the fuel economy is not hot on the auto and that performance isnt that great but for one its not one of the german mafia, and dealer support and reliability i hear are pretty good too.
i basically need a run around and the is seemed to fit the bill... the a4's are ten to the dozen and the 3 series is a bmw...

Cheers all. That explains why the pre 2004 had only half leather. the colours im avoiding are green and red.
is the SE better than LE in terms of spec?
-
is the le spec better than se?

Hi
Im looking for a mint 2002 onwards IS200 SE auto with full history, less than 40k miles, full leather, blue, ice or black exterior, aero and nav packs preferred, 1 or 2 previous owners. must be in excellent condition with flawless provenance and paperwork. I have a rav4 if interested otherwise cash waiting!

Dear All
After my first Lexus experience earlier today I can see why you are so fond of them. They are great and now I need one. Specifically Im looking for a 2002 on IS 200 with full history, less than 40k miles, full leather, automatic and ideally the nav and aero pack!!
Info On The Is200 Please

It's from a toyota dealer. The car comes with 12 month RAC warranty (for what it's worth). Would have been better if it stayed within the network though.
