  1. Yup i would agree that its about 10l. The way to find out is when the light turns on, fill up and see how much goes into the tank and then substract that by 70l which should = the tank when the light comes on.

I tend to fill my car half tank as i feel i get an extra 30 miles from my journey this way instead compared to a full tank.

  2. It sounds like someone left the window opened slightly and when you go fast you get that high pitch noise. I got the seal replaced which cost me £120 i think and i didnt need to get a new front screen which was my most concern.

If you can get someone to push the ceiling up from the inside and apply pressure to where the sound might be coming from it should become silent, thats how i figured out it was coming from the passenger side.

    hope this helps :)

  3. i used to have this problem as well. At first i thought it was normally to have this wind noise when reaching certain speed. I had my suspicious that it might have been a faulty seal but just left it. One day when it rained and iced up i woke up to find out that water gotten inside so i decided to get it checked out and they told me it was a faulty seal. Once they replaced it the wind noise disappeared as well :)

    hope that helps.

PS the noise came from the passenger side

  4. Yup its a replica, however the person i bought it off said it was a genuine so you could say i only found out when i took it to the body shop to be told it wasn't actually genuine :(( it looks good from the limited time i saw of it as it was really dark, but i was surprised how good it looks.

Also i was thinking of popping the Lexus badge back on, however the de-badged version looks kinda cool :P

  5. Hi Peeps!

Finally got the TTE front bumper, brembo brake discs, BC RC coilovers and lowered by 20mm today :)) I'll try and get some pictures up, but its too dark now and the horrible snow means its staying on the driveway till the white crap disappears :)

I'll post pictures tomorrow when i can.

I like to thank breet (TTE front bumper fibreglass edition), Sheeldzy (BC Racing coilovers) and SINGH182 for the brembo brake discs :)

  6. UPDATE

Well finally getting everything fitted to the car next week so im really excited, however i had a gut feeling my TTE front bumper was made of fiber glass and after taking it to the body shop its been confirmed that it is. Im a little disappointed from the person i bought it off from here as i did ask if it was the real part, however i decided to get it fitted and if it breaks... well i'll just put the old one back on and buy a sports grill from eBay :((

ill take photos when its all done *sigh*

  7. Merry Christmas all!,

Also im going to get the front and rear brembo brake discs installed finally! (thanks Singh182) just want some advice what brake pads to get :)

  8. i bought mine after giving up on the Civic Type R as it was hard to find a good condition one which hadnt been thrashed around. So after my cousin test driving the Type R in the Lexus dealer, we found out that the Type R had a blown head casket so we walked away as my cousin pointed out that after 5 min of driving white milky liquid was found under the oil cap.

I saw the IS200 04 LE kodiac silver or something, but i wasn't really drawn to it until my cousin told me that they were built like tanks and nothing ever goes wrong with one. After a few days pondering i decided to ring to see if it was still there.. GONE.. come friday my cousin found another one for me, but i was at work at the time and it was during xmas where it got dark after 5pm so decided i would have to wait till the day after to look.

Woke up early in the morning and to my horror someone had already bought it and i had the luxury to see it drive off :( After that i decided to check AutoTrader, found one with low mileage (26.5k), good price (£7k), 2005 edition and decided to travel all the way to Ayr to buy it. 1 and half years later im more than happy with it.

Cut the long story short.. i bought it because i couldn't get hold of a Type R and i had to get a new car by the end of the month as i didnt want to spend £500 fixing the old car to pass its MOT :P Very happy with my car just need to add some mods to it hehe

  9. Hi Peeps!

well ive had TTE front bumper sitting in the garage for almost 8 months and was planning to fit it asap. However ive been waiting for ALL the grills from the Lexus dealer for nearly 4 months! So my question is what alternative would you recommend? should i try those from eBay? i want to have all my stuff fitted before the dreaded VAT increase.

    suggestions please :(
