  1. Hey fellas/ladeez ;)

my sexy lexy needs some new front discs as either 1 or both are warped

been looking on fleabay and see some nice drillled and grooved ones with mintex pads/green stuff pads,

was wondering if you guys had bought similar and how good you would rate them.

my mrs uses the car back n forth to her work on a daily basis which doesn't warrant upgrading

but when i get stressed out and need to unwind i take the lexy over the Black mountains in Wales

    and give it some! :whistling:

also i have a worn front wheel bearing and wanted to know if the bearing is built into the hub,

seen some silly prices and would make more sense if this was the case.

if any1 knows of a good deal, please let me know :winky:

    i drive a 53 plate IS200 sport....cheers

  2. if the geometry is all set up correctly, will pot holes speed bumbs knock them out again?

i need to get mine done as my front driver tyre wore away the inside tread on a new tyre after a few thousand miles.

need to know how slow to attack speed bumbs or sue the council :whistling:

  3. Had my cambelt changed today at Charlesworth Motors in Glossop, as my lex has now done 96k miles, So thought it was way past time it was sorted plus now the Superchargers fitted it gives me piece of mind that its been done, :D

The old belt was still in very good condition with very little wear even though it had done a few miles? :whistling:

Had the Cambelt, ldler and tensioner done for £185, so well pleased with that and the guys used oem parts too :D

Good job done and hopefully a few more miles to come from the old girl yet :)

    nice job.

got my timing belt done on 61000 and it was not in good condition, there were a few nicks in it,glad i got it done when i did

    :whistling:

  4. yep got the car back and all is well with the world once more lol

they didn't respray, which i am happy with,as who knows what mess they might make...

buffed up the paint work and its good as new, well as it was when i bought it....

    phew!

thanx for your support guys ;)

the car is going in wednesday to the paint shop

with metallic paint will it blend in ok?

2/3 of the car is spattered, including the roof, they should do it all for the hassle and loss of earnings its caused........wish me luck!

sorry that most of my posts in loc have been a little negative, but i am well gutted

and love the car it is so sweet to drive ;)

  6. ye they said they will respray the area, got some stone chips on the bonnet i want them to do that for all the hassle lol....just hope they don't screw that up.

they haven't filled me with confidence......:(

  7. cheers for the info.....

will keep an eye on tyre wear wozza

p.s the specialist company that refurbished my wheels(and screwed up the n/s paintwork) i am informed is car medic

i can think of a some other names lol....

jury is out with it all at the mo..big bosses negotiating......we will see what the future holds.

fallen in love with the car.really hope they will sort it(sad sheep deprived Welsh man i know ;) )

    later guys

  8. new update. they cannot remove the paint residue off the body work and now want give it a blow over

which won't be done for a couple of weeks,my misses has gone to pick it up from garage

seriously thinking of getting my money back as i am not confident that they are capable of professionalism in any thing these guys can do :(

  9. I bought the car from Trade center Wales, they use another company that do the refurbishment work, sorry don't know who they are, they come to trade center wales to carry out refurbishment work on their cars(or so i am told)

will put some pics up after they sort it out, fingers crossed lol

  10. Thankyou for the welcome guys.........

will post some pics of my new baby(is200 sport) soon,i washed it the weekend after all the salt from our freak weather and found after taking the car back to the garage to get the 18" wheels refurbished there was silver paint residue on the roof on the door, glass and pillar GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

As you can imagine i am not best pleased, didn't realize that the tellytubbies were old enough to work at a garage!

well she is going back to be sorted, fingers crossed that they can do a good job this time.

on another note my front bumber is not original,it has no headlight washers, could not see any tubing to feed where they should be..

maybe it has been front ended in its life or previous owner wanted a re-style. it has a lip on the bottom and sport sticker in it not on it,lol if you know what i mean,as if it supposed to be there.

do lexus make official kits for their cars?

cry,i want headlight washers,is it possible to get the bits to wash my headlights?

    so many question...sorry....

p.s i love the car,it is an awsome piece of engineering

  11. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-LEXUS-IS200-...%3A1|240%3A1318

i am searching for the parts online for my 60000 mile service for my is200,i will be using my independent mechanic to do the work.

they say on the link genuine lexus parts, anyone here used these peeps?

I haven't used them myself, but pretty sure some members have. Try a search for "japarts".

Also, don't forget to check the price from a Lexus/Toyota dealer, especially if you're a Gold member and therefore probably can get a discount on parts.

I got a water pump (OEM Lexus/Toyota) from CheapToyotaParts.

    will check em out..cheers mate
