got my rings and clock sorrund on friday. how do i fit a clock surround

Hi, I found that if you get a razer blade or fine screwdriver you can lever off the plastic clock cover that is only lightly glued on and the surround will drop in its place the glue that is on the remaining facsia may be enough to hold it .if not a dab of silicone should hold it .cheers Graham.

Once these are here i will start a new Group buy after consulting mods..

Hi, have ten already done ready to go,they don't take long ,I think maybe a couple of weeks to do them, all depending on how long everyone takes to make up their minds and I can get the engraving done.

Hi ,sorry about the delay have been sorting out some stuff and a couple of days r and r. your rings are being polished as we speak and should be in the post today.As compensation for the delay I will include a free clock surround, will that be ok ? deckie 77 if you go to the old group buy on lexus a/c rings there is a payment link. red z I shall be sending your A/C unit back today with your clock surround. does anyone have an old A/C unit they would be prepared to sell or swap ? the condition isn't fussy as I only want the knobs and fascia to try bits on I don't need any electric or interior parts

Just had a quick look at this thread and noticed the rings being mentioned again. Graham, I still havent had a chance to remove my rings to send them back to u for another set but will try and sort them asap. Btw, how do I remove the rings as they're on well tight?

Hi have found that if you use a small flat screw driver with some tape around the end so as not to scratch it they should com off,but dont worry about scratches as i can polish them out. I HAVE given a pretty good idea on the price as

Hi,made a fairly accurate rough quote still need to find out a definate price for the engraving but I think they will

come in at £ 11.00 all in, if that sounds ok I we can do them same as before first pay first get ?

can you send a finished version back with my AC unit so i can post pictures?

ok will send it back without any engraving and post a pic of one with engraving and people can decide which they want.

I Have tried to help out several times with this group buy but my posts keep getting deleted, but i will try one more time! :tsktsk:

If he has your A/C unit to get a template from it then someone should have told me, i have a accurate template in AutoCAD that i can just email to you. Might save you guys some cost as all he has to do is make them from the template i have. This template has been used to create the other clock pieces everyone has seen so i know it will fit 100%.

if you have a cad drawing can you email it to goldilockseng1@aol.com then I can crack on with a price wont be fully back untill the end of the week still lots of stuff to sort out I havent forgotten you'r a/c unit .
