  1. Car PC's are hard to work with when your driving. great idea but not pratical unless you have software like centrafuse. and thats expensive! other thing is there not hugely reliable, have to wait for them to star up when you start the car and most hard drives are very badly affected by bumps even when using anti vibration cages.

  2. My quote is 1700 for a £3500 is200 sport. when i insure it i will be 18 with 1yrs NCB. becomes less with passplus

    is this under your name?

It is indeed. Im well supprised that its that cheap. my 106 (1.0 l reg lol) is 2500 TPFT at the moment. and even next insurance year its 1200 for me. insurance doesnt make sence! oh and i live inside the M25 so insurance is expensive here!!

pretty expensive for being 18 but hey its a lexus bet your loving it.

Would be if i owned one. not buying it till june which is a bummer but oh well. be nice to have a luxury car when all my mates are driving vauxhalls and renaults lol

  3. good for long motorway drives? do you mean when its snowing/icy or just in normal conditions. suppose it can do good things for fuel ecconomy?

other question.... the IS has a switch allowing you to swich the traction control off. does it fully turn it off as i know some cars, it only kills it slightly. Bad weather conditions + traction control + rear wheel drive = no good lol.

    thanks!!

  4. Just curious as to how snow mode changes the car so it will perform better in snow? i know that it works very well in my old mans saab 95 auto but thats front wheel drive. i dont see how it can make a huge difference on a rear wheel drive manual car?

    Many thanks!!

  6. Yeah a good idea i looked at alsorts of IS200s when i was looking for one and the later ones with full leather are the ones to go for but with a 3k budget you should be able to get your self a fairly good one which you can mod with the later stuff

Yeah ideally i would like about 5k but theres no chance of me getting that together. Its crap being on a trainees wage lol.

  7. As said in a previous post, im looking at buying a is200. could someone please just answer a few questions for me??

    1. Is the IS200 S and the IS200 Sport the same model or are they different models?

    2. Ive heard that the IS200 Sport has the supercharged engine. is this correct?

    3. Is there any performance difference in any of the models other than the model with the SC engine?

    Many thanks guys!!

  8. good good. what i like to hear!!!

Yes i have a prefered colour. dont know what its called but its a deep metallic blue colour. either that or black. Also would prefer a black interior.

Nothing in particular that im after. just want a nice example of what i think its a sexy car! lol

  9. Cheers. just read through that. obviously i expect them to had there issues (like any other car) but i take it they are very relaible (as i would expect from toyota!!!)

  10. Cheers bud!

Yeah i really wanted one with full leather. but cant be too picky!

Im lucky in that my old man was a mechanic for 21 years. so unless there electrical problems (requiring OBD equipment) theres not much we cant sort out!!

So i take it apart from the supercharged model, the sport is the one to look for?

Was supprised at insurance as well. im only 17 with nearly 1yrs ncb and its 1400 quid (expensive it sounds but im currently paying over 2k for a peugeot 106!!!!!!)
