split apart and catch fire.
LOL!!
Unfortunately it happened, luckily it was a rear so I was spared death. :D

I've got Marangoni Mythos all round and they're probably the best tyres I've rolled on. Tonnes of grip, slow wearing, and they're made / designed, apparently for performance sedans.
I had Pirelli P-Zero Rosso's on prior to that, also a good tyre but the wear rate wasn't great and wet grip was none existent.
A tyre to avoid from my experience would be avon ZZ3's. They were shocking. No grip wet or dry, had the wear rate of an eraser, picked up punctures for fun and if it was a serious puncture split apart and catch fire.

BTW, the reflection in the sunroof isn't a burglar I don't think.

Hi, just recieved and fitted my carbon vortex generator today.
I love it (although I'm sure it won't be to everyones taste) and I snapped it up for a bargain price too.
I was considering getting it sprayed but due to the colour of the car I think it works well as is.
I'd like to hear any of your comments, feedback, etc.

If he says he wasn't driving he'll get a form, a legal requirement to provide the details of who was driving. If he fails to provide the info he'll be done for that, if he says it was his dad then they'll do the checks. His dad will get done for speeding and driving without insurance and he'll get done for allowing him to drive it without valid insurance. If they find out he's lied on the form they'll both get done for pervert the course of justice too. He needs to bite the bullet.

I've been using v-power for ages and after resetting the ecu with it I reckon its giving me roughly 30 miles a tank more. The performance increase is largely a myth though. To benefit performance wise from higher octane fuel you really need a remap to alter the air/fuel ratios and such. I know the IS200 ECU can make adjustments itself in this vane but an aftermarket one would yield fuller results.
The main benefit from using higher octane fuels is that it offers more protection for the engine because a small amount of any fuel will be sub-par so if your using 95 RON and your car accepts 95 RON as a minimum some of this will be slightly less and this sub-par fuel causes knocking and overtime can cause damage / pitting of the cylinder walls. Therefore when your using 97 / 98 RON fuel it acts as a buffer because none of it will be under 95 RON and thus it prevents knocking.

I don't think they'd follow it up, there's nothing evidential. Trust me ;)
Thanks for the advice. I'll see if it persists when I get my new rims on.
Are you in the forces then? It's just all the stories you keep hearing about people who have had videos up on Youtube getting in serious trouble - guess you could always have an import and be quoting KPH :)
If it still happens with the new rims definitely worth a trip to Drury - are all your tyre pressures and stuff ok thinking about it?
Something like that. Yeah I suppose but videos are a different kettle of fish and it'd have to be proven when and where it was taken, on what device and by who, etc.
Anyway I digress. All the tyre pressures are right so I'll just wait on the new rims for the meantime.
Indeed, kph it is :winky:

Maybe something is worn or it's just a geometry problem - dealer wouldn't be able to roadtest that though due to the excess speeds - may be worth editing that to read 70 as you never know who's reading these messages!
Might be worth popping to Drury Lane to get the geometry done if you haven't already? Also get the wheel balancing checked while you're at it.

Hi all,
I've noticed that as my car hits 100 it feels as though the car is vibrating through the wheels.
Is this normal? Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone have any ideas?
I'd greatly appreciate your input.
Thanks in advance to anyone who has any to offer.
Maybe this explains why the insurance premiums are so high in Manchester
I don't recall mentioning hitting a ton on a public road. Assumption is the mother of all **** ups :P

The guy over the road has a 666 plate too, and underneath it he's written "You don't **** with the devil"
I bet the signwriter had a fun day that day!
Mine had "KILL 'EM ALL" on. Innocent though, it was just an album title to me. I was forced to cover them up or face a public order charge.

Welcome to the club mate - you're brave with that numberplate!
Indeed, it doesn't go down too well with the supervision at work.

Hola,
I recently made the leap from an unsubtle Civic to the delights of an IS200.
Love the car and love the forums I've been reading them for ages but only just
got round to signing up.
I'm sure I'll be asking advice, chipping in and getting acquainted with many of
you in the near future.
See ya round :)

I think Granite Sky is th best but then I would. Also I've always had a soft spot for white cars.
