AA/RAC saluting us would now probably be in contravention of some 'Health and Safety-Nannystate" regulation about not being in full control of their vehicle.
We're not in full control of our anger at this constant stupidity?
One finger raised? INDEX finger is fine.....it's (originally american, like so much else!) the MIDDLE finger that means 'up yours'.
Gestures are not universal.
Twin-Thumbs up in some countries apparently means 'I like it both ways' ..work it out. (sorry Paul Mc Cartney!)
And when Nixon got off the plane in China, his gestures, in China, mean I am a stupid prat (or something)
So....apt?
true gesture can get you in trouble but it like words to me a plastic pig, is refering to my many 3 wheeler reliant i had great fun i had in them and never turned one over lol

There is a Classifieds section and all the rules are on it.
Drill back though to the Home page then go to Sales and wanted sections.
ahh thanks will do :D
-
hi just wondering what the rules are on putting up classified here as i have some mats and stuff to find a new home?
-
I had to take a number of factors into concideration.. one was lower fuel cost but ideally we also need an estate.
The dog seems happier in the estate. And we`ve just done the first suffolk trip in the Rover. 51MPG brim to brim.
However, compared to the Lexus its so slow that the only flies and bugs are on the rear screen not the front one. They kepp flying into the back of the car when im on the motorway. And dont laugh but the alternaotor packed up on the way home. (And no we didnt get 51mpg because it was on the back of the AA lagon) it got back under its own steam.
Bet im back in a lexus within 12 months.
ahh if you have a dog an estate is a must no matter what car, i used to have a pyrenean montian dog, and when i was buying a car he came to the garage which ever car i could fit his 14 stone i bought happy days :winky:
-
well sir john what happened to you idea of lpg? or was it cheaper to buy the rover?
have been in one a freind had one very breifly all the best with it.
-
KPnuts you could go for the classic policy with some of the brokers. It may have to be a second vehicle though.
yp done that £370 so better than some :)

i have same problem with insurance, rang lexus and they wont cover my old girl 94 she is sad she was too old.
shame the insurances are so high i feel your pain.
-

Its time to sell the old girl. With great regret i have to say. Shes not sold yet and im missing her already.
But she came with a Lexus car phone which i removed. I still have it and wondered if members think there might be a market for selling it. e-bay maybe.
i havent got one of them, so is it just a cradle or does it give hands free?
where have you put your car up for sale? pistonhead do free ad for 30 days.

i have too many cars in the family to keep them all on the road, i have taken on a motorhome recently and this has relived the ls 400 from the holiday trips.
i also have a little soft top for the summer, so i am wondering if i keep my 94 ls400 how will she be if i lay her up for 6 mths at a time.
i am thinking soft top summer and ls for winter (but will have to get better deal on insurance)would i be asking for a load of trouble as she will be on drive i have no garage to put her in. any one any experince?
i am a greddy monkey wanting both i know but i dont want to give up either realy :D

my insurance has shot up this year, no i didnt have an accident, my renwal is close to £400 ouch, can any one recomend companys good for v8?
i have max no claims and im in the grown up bracket :winky:

looks good but i thought you fancied a gas one. has cam belt been done? and blow exhaust i would find out how much that would cost to put right before i bought it. :winky:
-
Im thinking about buying another LS. One with less miles than mine and in better nick. OIL8382 is advertised on Autotrader and is about 200 miles from where I live, hence the query. Was it owned by you at any time. If so is it as good as discribed.
Have you got the link Sir John?
I dont know how to put in a link that just says "link" but try this.
It identical to mine. I want to gas mine but im thinking of buying a better one that might last a bit longer. Mine is a great car but its done 179k and the exhaust/cat flanges have had it, the body has a few trolly dings, the wheels need refurbing and theres a bit to do on the rear suspension. hence the lookout for a betetr one.
Ive spoken to the vender of this one. Me only got it in yesterday. The dash lights are on teh blink and the exhaust is blowing a bit.

wow thats great !!!

well i have a etagas multipoint system on mine and i gat around town 12miles to gallon of gas, remember the price of gas and long run i have done 280 to £60 gas.not hanging about so she could do much more.
as for damage to the engine NOT SO i have been to tartini recently for new remap on gas and he tells me ls400 does not need flash lube and does no damage this i had proved when he connected the lap top during long test drive and every thing is as new and this system has been on this car 7 yrs, long enough to do damage if it was going to.
-
just wondering i have a ls 400 mk2 95, and i would like to upgrade the steering wheel if possible, with the one in the ls 430 as i like the the the wood effect on it very nice, can it be done?
-
this thread has made my day i have never had an accident in 30 yrs and yes i am female, so maybe i should start practing to get some under my belt think i will go buy a ka to smash first i hate them
-
ita a tartarini etagas a old multipoint system so i am told :winky:

had my lexus nearly a year, and found the mpg on gas was very low 10mpg on gas, she also started stalling and flat spots and was kicking when driving.also mot tester said it failed on gas as it was all over the place.
so i drove 300 miles each way to autogas 2000 in york.after a test drive they found that when the regulator was changed yrs ago that the system was left on defult.
so i had to have a remap done as the system was running to lean. so on the return trip no kicking or flat spots much better drive.
as for ecomony motorway millage much same but i did get caught in traffic a lot, so i am wating to use my tank around town to see if this improves. fingers crossed.
so a big thanks auto gas :winky:
thought the lpg guys here might find this interesting !

Mine passed the emissions last weeka and week before on LPG (1st garage gave me a fault list of 4 pages i thought bollocks the car is fine, took it to my mechanic and the garage he uses gave uper and lower front suspension arm fails and rear right thats just behind the brake disc at top, also my rear brakes which apparently didn't work at all the previous test and the hand brake the same passed with flying colirs.....). So should be fine on gas if not it's been setup wrong.
last couple of weeks she has been kicking more than usual and she dies a little when changing over to gas like flat spot, so i am thinking she could do with a service or is there things i can clean myself? it a tartarini etagas multipoint any one any ideas?
-
my ls400 95 has i sure are is 200 wheels on them the size is 225/50/17.
so what should the prussure be ? car only has 2 passengers at the time. can any one tell me please.
-
i have a dark green car with beige interior.but the overmats are light green. so i would like cream or beige set if any one has any.
-
Hi mine went through on gas, very very low on emissions, particulates were virtually 0, lpg is much cleaner burning than petrol, the only way it could fail is if its badly set up.
it came with lpg when i got it. any way i can check set up without paying a bomb?
-
Hi,
I had a ls400 that i had gassed and it failed on gas but passed om petrol.Just out of interest is the car reg K--- -my.
