Hi, i done the fog to side and brake conversion with the dual holders.. and now have fitted 4x leds, now this brings on the warning lights, bulb out and the brake warning which i assume is again saying you have a brake bulb out, now looking at how hot load resistors get im not all keen on using them , seems like a fire hazzard to me? im going to use them on the brakes cos they only on now and then, my question is , instead of putting a load resistor on the side lights, couldi just not remove the bulb out light from the speedo? or does this effect the ecu in some way etc

done mine no problem followed the guide on the forum,, they were a almost perfect fit used a very high tac super glue to tack them in place,, detangoed mine wilst at it, mine were already having issues with steamin up before i even thought of halo rings, before i resealed them i stuck two packs of silica gel inside them just to make sure any remainig moisture had gone,and ive never had issues since-- however unless you are very confident at d.i.y i would not recomend

yup got the dual bulbs, but they have there own feed, hence the 3 wires that goto the holder, or do u put the resistors on the negative line

I had bulb out light when side light went, thats why i asked.. thiking what stav said i going to leave the 3rd brake for min, i thought about doing it as it might look out of place, but then like you said it may look like a disco and i dont want that either lol.. do load resistors normally get hot, I was looking on eBay for them andit says these units get hot.. so many choices ahhhh

it might be to much I dont no yet i havent seen it, if it is I take them out and sell the units - no worrys

with that I think it might be ott with the 3rd brake going as well... so im going to leave that one normall

thanks Jay , sorry to be a pain... but jsut to clariffy if all the bulbs are LED i only need 2 load resistors? i thought id need them for each side behind ech wire .. IE 1 for the side light and 1 for the brake but on both sides so a total of 5 including the mid brake,, or do they get put somewhere else in the car and thats why its only 2.. sorry for being so dorky, im ordering the stuff so i just wanted to make sure i got the correct amount :)

Ok can some one help me with this I cannot grasp it, if i convert all 5 lamps mid brake fogs and tail lights to LED would i need 3 load resistors and 2 diodes for the fog conversion or is the load resistors and diodes the same thing

no these units would flash as soon as power is applied but if you took foot of brake then pressed again they wont flash they would require xx seconds of no braking to reset so u dont go peeing everyone off, ive seen cars here that when heavy braking they hazzard lights flash

brighness of l.e.d was concern for me to, as ihad them on my camero, but like anything a good huntin you find sumint better from the usa,, ive been looking at the tube shaped ones that are just covered all over with super bright l.e.ds, but they dont come cheap

its only 1 more light dont think it would make tht much of a diffrence to his siezure, hence why i wanted a short fast blast, dont want a disco going on, just wanted to grab the attention and have peopple think did that happen? im just going to see what its like im fussy so if it does look like a live tour of the prodigy , ill reduce the amount of flashing lamps then

Hi , im looking at converting the fogs to work with side lights and brakes, seen a lex in flesh the other day and it looks so much better than pics,, now im looking at installing a brake flash unit from this site http://www.3rdbrakeflasher.com/index.php?m...products_id=181

in theory i have now 5 brake light 2 norm 2 fog and 1 middle in window, how many flash units would i need to get all five to flash

ive chosen this kit cos i wanted a rapid flash that only lasted 2secs max and took 40secs to reactivate

bright yellow IS with rear fog conversion spotted in launceston "cornwall" 5:30AM this morning.. looked really smart

Xenon 65w, the bulbs are blue so when you look direct at the lamp it makes the hole lamp look blue , but very white when lit at 6500 colour temp

I had a go with these 250461456965 as i was on a tight budget, fair bulky dont no what others are like,id say you need to be confident diy to do this but it is fairly straight fwd after a few mins they get very bright, really struggled to take a pic of them what you think?
