  1. Hi folks,

Has anyone experienced their starter motor not wanting to disengage when starting on cold mornings?

My S1 has had this a couple of mornings now, can solve it by key off and re-start but saturday it took the third crank before it disengaged.

Don't know if it's doing any harm but it sounds awfull when she does it.

    Hi,

the starter for my GS430 2001 was starting to stick @ 112000 miles, it seemed easiest to buy a new one except the cost , so I had reconditioned by http://www.unit-exchange.co.uk/, cost £90, years guarantee, very good service,

    Hi

I have a gs430, (2001, 110,000) on Friday the radiator blew a hole and think it was because the head gasket failed, ( garage thinks so ) could I take you up on the offer of the manual - happy to reimburse you - and if anyone has had similar experience with GS 430, please let me know

    regards

  3. I have since bought an air mass sensor and 4 universal lmbdha sensors (denso's) from rockauto.com in the US. since fitting the air mass sensor the car is running perfectly. and I didn't need to change lmbdha sensors.

I now have 4 going spare

    Hi

    Ive a lexus gs 430 x reg year 2000

100K miles and the lambdha sensors are going one by one, and Ive been told to change the air mass meter as well

is it ok to mix and match universal sensors with OE items and can someone tell me the OE part numbers for the sensors so that i can cross reference them for universal items.

    regards

What error codes are being produced?

thanks for the advice, sorry i dont know the error codes, just that they relate to 2 pre cat and 2 post cat lambdha sensors being faulty

thanks for the tip re cleaning the MAF - will get garage to do it !

  5. hi all

I have a GS430 x reg 2001, with 100K miles, the engine warning light came on and it indicated 1 pre cat oxygen sensor had gone, then the problem came back and now I am being told that I need 2 pre and 2 post cat sensors - a garage i use and trust have said that it may be the air mass meter -

is this a common problem / scenairio ?

    any known remedies?

    any thoughts ?

and where is best place to buy such parts

    thanks in anticipation
