in addition to noise that was coming from the drivers side front wheel which was coming and going for periods (days on end). the steering was gradually getting worse. wasn't until the day of the ball joint failure the steering was near impossible and causing me great concern. didn't make it to the garage unfortunately.

Just a little update. i suppose the moral of the story is the signs where there before my ball joints went and if i had been on LOC more regular i would have got the information i needed sooner. It's all worked out ok in the end ;)

i have been considering a change to the IS250 recently as i've had my Is200 coming on 4Yrs now. But jst made a decision considering work i've done to my IS200. Timing belt, Clutch replacement and now just replaced ball joints after failure. Feel better now having made the decision. Car going in for respray next week. Happydaze :D

As a result of damage done to wheel arch when ball joint went and also someone keyed my car Full length some time ago. I have booked my car in for a respray next week...Excited :D . I'm looking to make a couple of minor mods. I'm looking to change lights but unsure to get Angel eyes or Complete housings as plastic is a little tired looking. Recommendations would be much appreciated. New Grille on the list also. Thx

Had a testing few days with my car. Is200 sport 05. Had it into my garage who i've dealt with since the purchase of my car with noise coming from front near side, also steering wasn't so responsive. He told me he suspected it was the ball joint. On inspection told me he didn't see any problems. Driving along the road and Ball joint failed. Was a little irate with mechanic to say the least. Damage done to wheel arch on failure. also ABS sensor had to be replaced amongst other items. Got car serviced and MOT done whilst it was in the garage. Took advice of forum and replaced both Ball joints. Needless to say i'm looking for a new mechanic .

Recently had a 60k service done on my IS200 sport which cost me £460.00.
The only things needing seen to where the front discs and the front and back break pads need replaced.
The problem being, i can't live with the price they have quoted me.
I'm planning on sourcing the parts myself and getting it done at a local garage.
Any suggestions for Discs i should get and break pads. Had a look on e-bay and i can get front and back Discs.
Don't want to make the wrong purchase. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks. :winky:

i personally use a cassette adaptor which plugs into your phono plug on the ipod.

Grateful for the comments as i often start panicking when the light comes on.
After reading comments i now can relax somewhat.

Been told Asda are the exception from the rest of the chains, aparently they get theres from Russia, so was advised to put Redex in every few thousand if using Asda.
Dont know if thats bull**** or not, maybe someone can correct me on this matter. :winky:
