Hi, like the title says... my aftermarket HU dies when it goes on a higher volume. It's pretty annoying when you are listening to a good song and suddenly the radio goes on a holiday for a few seconds :hohoho: ... Somebody got an idea to fix this ?? Thanx :)

Posty's right, if you only have the S model you dont have an amp, you just need the iso lead from an MR2 straight to the plugs behind the stereo,
Good morning, It must be the S version because there's no amp, I tried to connect the bypass cable straight to the original cables but my first HU goes into protection and my second works but can't find any stations and has no sound coming out of the speakers. The weird thing in Belgium is when you go to a Lexus/Toyota dealer to ask them something about this matter, they can't give you any information... The reason why I want to replace my original HU is because it has the famous "illness" on the cd system... I'll give it another try with the cable from the MR2 :winky: Thanks for the help guys !!! :D :D :D

Hi, I have troubles to find the amp in my IS 200... I've tried al the stuff that was posted in the other topics but I can't manage to connect a new HU (kenwood). I've bougth the facia and the bypass cable on the internet and installed everything as it was told in the former topics. The only problem I have is that I can't connect the bypass cable because the amp is missing.... Hopefully some of you guys can help me out here, it's a IS200 from '99.
