The bulb Norwich Lexus fitted to my car is exactly the same colour as the other original bulb. The original I guess is as old as the car (06 plate) so I don't think you have any thing to worry about. If it's not the same just take it back.

Yeah I saved a load ringing round the lexus dealers on my last service. Funny I also had a waterpump go.

Hi, Had it fixed at norwich Lexus. It costs £136 with vat and fitting. I tried quote from toyota main dealer who wanted £186.

Apparantly some earlier models have an extended waranty on the bulbs so it's worth checking.

It is usually related to bulb failure, try swapping the bulbs around and see if the problem switches to the other side

I have an IS220D with Xenon lights. When the lights come on drivers side light comes on for about a second then goes off.

dont buy it!! i regret getting mine. gears are too high. make sure you drive it for a bit 1st as you'll probably be dissapointed. lots of toys though.

get down to the dealer asap and tell em before warranty expires. one thing lexus are good for in my experience is no quible warranty.

The ML system has a great sound. You have to hack the wires to enable use of dvd player and some phone functions whilst driving (you can use speed dials whilst driving). To enter destinations in sat nav whilst driving requires a more complicated wire hack or update to the new sat nav dvd which has input function enabled whilst in motion. I have posted a guide to hack the wires it's easy.

Test drive one first, they're not the best drivers cars. (Gear box has high ratios)

To be honest I didn't want to afford the Merc. Same spec would be loads more for no more.

sounds good but I bet you could bargain with that deal aswell. After all the dealers are just franchise dealers they will make as much as they can from you.... and I would do the same if I was in their position. Forums like this help us all notice we don't have just put up with what ever they decide to charge.

Called lexus Norwich for 60k service and was quoted £395. Lexus Cambridge £303 and Lexus Ipswich £419. Just goes to show it pays to shop around, even with main dealers. I hope this encourages you all to do the same. PS LEXUS IPSWICH MATCHED THE CAMBRIDGE PRICE BUT NORWICH WOULD ONLY COME DOWN TO £350. :winky:

Are the mp3's properly named before you put them onto the CD.

I use a free program called mp3 tag http://www.mp3tag.de/en/

It allows you to easily edit the tags within a mp3. So that the names will appear when playing rather than track 01

Yes this is correct. If the pink and the white silver are not connected the sat nav will be jumpy. ( this is where the switch comes in )

Works fine in our Prius (effectively the same system) - just picked a few folders of MP3s, dragged them onto the CD and they worked fine :)

How did you create yours?

Dragged & Dropped. May be a problem with long track names / mp3 & wma mixed up on same disc?

Hello, I can't seem to make a mp3 cd work in my ML system. Any one know what to do it keeps saying something like no music files on the screen. Also the track names on original CD's sometimes show and sometimes don't (even on the same CD so it's not the disk). HELP! Thanks!!

Just wanted to ask, if I wanted to implement the hack only to enable DVD, Bluetooth dialing and MP3 folder browsing, what do I exactly need to do? I don't want to install a switch for the sat nav so I am fine with the sat nav not being enabled.

You need to get ready to spend a long time in a small room with a toilet in the corner and a big bloke who is far too friendly if you have a serious accident which can be put down to using these facilities. Crash forensics would soon spot them, and imagine the view a court is going to take of deliberately disabling safety features which are manufacturers original equipment and are part of the conditions under which the car enters the UK for sale.

Good point, everybody thinking of doing this hack should consider what they would do if they dropped the soap.
