  1. Right, so couple of days ago my car started to develop a stupid noise from the front wheels and steering. I put the car on jack and investigate the wheels and suspension. Everything seemed fine. After I put the car down the noise went away. After I've taken a tight corner, same noise came back but not for long. Few turns and it was fine again.

Any idea what that might be?

Any help would be grately appreciated.

how are your ball joints ?????? hve they been checked

  2. ive been to local garage, got lex onto axle, said it aint sticky calipers, im i right in saying that if wheels move freely by hand then sticky calipers are out the question??

he said that the sliding pin/bolt is not an issue as calipers are not sticking???

    im lost!

listen mate have your front brakes checked again i had the same problems and it was a front brake issue it is very irrititating

  3. I would get the Lexus Warranty. As you say, the RAC cover would cost a fair bit and covers you and partner in any car (even if a passenger)

If you then say the warranty has cost say £580 it wouldn't take much to rack up a bill for that amount.

Quick edit ....As far as I know the warranty will only pay up to a maximum of the price you paid for the car so that is something to bear in mind.

your better of with the lexus cover for other thing that could go wrong i had it for 5 years and it was worth its weight in gold

  4. I wouldn't- failed battery and waterpump are 'wear and tear' items in my book. Its not like the gearbox has failed.

Personally, I'd stick the £680 into a ISA and use a local garage (instead of Lexus) to carry out repairs to your IS200. Also shop around for cheaper breakdown cover.

u cant go wrong with that lexus warranty its fantastic value for money

  5. Yep I m a happy bunny with the Falken 452's, now been on the back of my S/C for a good time....supplied and fitted at home by event tyres of course.

I still have the good old 'Lexus' 9000's on the front, but will get more Falkens when they expire, the tyres are a different size on each axle on my car, so I can't do swoppies !

try bridgestone tyres the RE050 or the dunlop sp9000 sport they are tried and teseted fantastic tyres
