aaron abbott yeah thats exactly the way i adjusted them... i think thats the right way according to the instructions?
and guys i didnt really think i had it lowered excessively. the arch sits just over the tyres... not down over them but just at the top... can still fit a finger between arch and tyre easily...
-
would they be expensive Asi?
-
yes, when i go over bumps at low speeds i hear them squeaking... i didnt adjust the tension of the spring... i adjusted the ride height by the very bottom of the strut.
-
ok guys i got myself some bc racing coilovers... however theyve only being fitted a month and theyre doing my head in already as they have just started squeaking...
has anyone else had this problem or anything... im starting to think i may have to return them???
heres a pic of the car as it sits at the minute...
-
using bc racing coilovers... wouldnt go anylower than this even though the coilovers are defo capable of doing it... i like to be able to get over speedbumps and even at this height i have totake it pretty slow...

you dont need converters... wobble nuts or something i think does the job... yeah both cars are from over here in northern ireland aswell...
althou im still of the belief that merc wheels are meant for a merc plain and simple.

i should hopefully be able to get a couple of pics up over the weekend... the car aint clean at the moment and im not putting up dirty pics.... want to get it washed and mabye clayed, polished, waxed etc first...
im geussing they were trying to set it to oem settings as they use a system with makes models and years on it and then adjust accordingly to the spec apearing on the screen...?
-
i wouldnt do anything dude... just let the police deal with it.... im geussing this would be classed as hit and run? and surely if the police visit them in person they have to talk?
-
i like the red ones... im considering eithe putting red ones on my is200 or else splitting them and darkining them down black... the car is boston green.... what do you guys think.... either red or blackened...? im also trying to blacken the front lights....
-
I bought a set from Advanced Automotive Concepts.
I hope they are the same, they cost a fortune! I went with these guys as they had instruction videos and all sorts - so had more faith that the product would fit.
the lights make the front of that car.... im looking the Xenon lights and a black inside but its proving rather difficult at the minute...
-
ok i fitted my coilovers the other day there and then went to the local tyre centre and got them to set the alignment....
they use a lazer system and enter the cars make and model into the system and then adjust accordingly.... now aparently they have the camber adjustment maxed out and im still running 1.5 degress negative camber at front and 2.5 degrees negative camber at rear...
has anyone else experienced such problems?
-
dont know any ting about the mechanicals of this... but if it works id love to do this wee mod to mine...
-
how did it go after the kit on that side of the engine compared to the other side.?
im looking for a cost effective way to get myself an induction kit...
-
yup looks the part... any one know how difficult it would be to diy a induction kit instead of the 250notes required to buy one as i just dont have that sort of cash...
-
Make your own, get some silicone hoses and some stainless steel and make the pipes it cost me £50quid for hoses and pipe then what ever for induction kit of your choice
you got any pic's of yours
x2.... would also like some pics... would like a nice neat job....
-
so does this mean if you get the diff out of an altezza you would also need the complete rear unit...? or can you get the diff itself and this would still work fine...?
-
if anybody heres loking coilovers get yourselves down to the groupbuy section of the forum and lets get enough numbers for this to go ahead.....
-
thanks for the help guys....
-
ok thanks dude... was just wondering if they were all that price as its rather expensive just for air induction i tjought esp on a non turbo car...
-
too young.... can only insure a group 12 car....
-
trc off. then you have to be smoother with the throttle esp in lower gears at corners and in the wet... trc on you can drive harder..........
-
ive been searching the net for an induction kit for the lex, but they all seem to be £250 or so... was just wondering how much you guys paid for them... etc
-
