GS 300 MK2. This may sound like a silly question, but can anyone tell me which way round the air filter fits. I have checked mine and to me it looks incorrect.
Any help appreciated.
Just a quick update.
I popped into Lexus Sidcup yesterday and one of the service staff checked the air filter out for me and confirmed it had been fitted incorrectly.
I was told this is quite common on the GS300 as the filter sits vertically.

Hello All,
My car needs a bit of TLC and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good car valet place around Woodmansterne, Banstead, Croydon or even Redhill areas. Maybe anywhere South London will be ok too.
I need the engine steam cleaned and the whole interior cleaned and polished.
Regards
I had my GS300 done by Shine, take the weekend off. Full valet + machine polish £145.00, excellent job will be useing them again.

Hi, I am a newbie and would like some advise on which size Wheel should have been as Standard on a 1998 Mk 11 GS300SE.
At the moment it is fitted with 16 inch but i believe they should be 17 inch on the SE Model.
Your Help would be Very much Appreciated
Best Regards Bernard
I have a 2002 mk 11 GS300 SE fitted with 17 inch, I believe the early MK 11 gs were fitted with 16 inch as standard.

GS 300 mkll. I'm going to replace the bulbs in the VSC OFF switch and the PWR/ECT/SNOW switch. Before I order the bulbs is there a bulb in the headlight washer switch.
Hi, I have same problem which have just blown can you tell me how easy is it to get at the switches, how do you remove the consul to get at the 4 switches.
is it that you have to remove ash tray first and then pull to unclip the consul to get at back of switches as they dont just pull out from the top
Have a look at this :Center console bulb replacement DIY:http://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-second-...cator-bulb.html
Pull ash tray out, unclip and pull consul up from where it meets the armrest, unclip the 3 connectors under consul and slide out.
there are 4 screws that hold the switches to the consul, then pull the switches out you will see where bulbs slot into.
I got my bulbs from Lexus, local parts stores do not sale them. replaced 5 bulbs cost 23 quid.

When I brought my 02 GS 300 I booked it in with Lexus Sidcup for a service and cambelt change even though the car had only done 2000 miles since the last service which was done at an independent garage. The car had done 71000 miles and has FSH but no paperwork showing if the cambelt had been changed, as this was overdue I had this done the day after I collected the car.

I recently had my 02 GS 300 cambelt and a full service done at a Lexus Sidcup for £600.00, this was a very good price for a main dealer as a local garage was asking the same.
