Ah yeah I got that one back to front. Like you said using 4Ω speakers where 2Ω should be will result in them running quieter.
You'll probably be disappointed with the end results Hogan22a. Spend your money on some decent components for the front & an amp for them if you can stretch the budget. Loud 6x9" are for mugs.
With all due respect, 6x9's are much clearer and capable of producing more bass/treble front end speakers can only dream of. Sorry e910 but i totally disagree and to be honest, your the first person I have come across who prefers front end speakers to 6x9. Why would you want to amp the front if you dont want loud music anyway? Leave the amp and get 6x9's or even better, amp up the 6x9's.
