Great, legend!
Hi, I tried this a while ago when my CD came up with the dreaded ERR3. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...c=47775&hl=As you see from my previous post I think it does depend on which model of head unit you have and I think the CD changer would need to be the right one for your car i.e. a Toyota one.
Dave.
Edit: link didn't work. Hope it does now.

Thanks mate, that would be much appreciated.
You have my postal address, email me what it will cost in postage and I will sort you out the cost.
Thanks again
i have the amp bypass cable if you want it..... got 2 but found no amp...... -
Thanks for that Mikey...Great!
Will give you a tinkle to have a quick chat about this...
LArry
spoke to redz dont think you can do it there is a mini disc changer that can be used -
Thanks for all your comments:winky:

Thanks.
Has anyone tried hooking up an aftermarket cd boot changer to the standard HU?
i think it would be hard to hook up a cd changer to the standard head unit.you will need the amp bypass cable and a facia kit for a aftermarket head unit and if you have sat nav then you need a sat nav bypass cable so the satnva works as standard.

I recently saw Bridgstones at £45 per tyre for the is200 on eBay from a company in wolverhampton, west midlands...outstanding value! Do a search for 215 45 17 and they should come up on eBay
]
I always like Toyo T1-R's.Used them on my Paseos and loved them! Running the stock Bridgestones on the Lex and will be changing to the Toyo's when these need replacing!

Thanks for the reply mate.
I was hoping to keep the factory HU in tact to listen to the radio and then hook up an aftermarket cd changer to listen to cd's, rather than spend daft money on a new HU or an aftermarket one, as i have a cd changer in my garage?
Yes, you will need to get a fascial adapet to fill the huge space once the standard HU is out. -

Great! Thanks for the reponses guys.
...(altho previous owner did give me a blank 3 button key fob)...Assuming the blank does not have a transponder then:
Get the key on offer, swap the transponder out and into this blank & get it cut ~£7.
Program it yourself for free.
Done :)

Its a used one.
So it can be programmed to fit my vehicle? What about the ignition key, will it start the car, as its a used key for another is200

Hi all,
I have been offered a used 3 button key fob for the is200 and wanted to establish what i would need to do to get this working with my car?
I have a 3 button master key fob ONLY and want a spare key (altho previous owner did give me a blank 3 button key fob)
Thanks in advance :winky:

Try these for advice and radiator:
Radiator Services Stoke-on-Trent do recores from about £50
give them a ring on (01782)-272455 and ask for Dave
Hi folksI'm having to buy a new radiator for my 2000 plate manual gearbox IS200. I have found a guy on E-Bay selling a radiator that he says will fit both the manual and automatic type cars. I asked him to confirm that this will fit the manual as I was under the illusion that the automatic had an additional pair of outlet pipes that are at the bottom of the radiator that are used to feed the oil cooler on the automatic.
He confirmed that the radiator was indeed for an automatic but will also fit the manual and with regards to the two pipes to just ignore them and it will fit OK.
Now what I want to know is is this correct?? I was thinking that the outlet pipes would have to be blanked off at least or are they blanked to begin with?? Has anyone out there fitted an automatic type radiator to their manual car and have they had any problems??
Thanks in advance for any help you folks can give me...

Phew, radiator is fine took it to two lexus specialists:)
Hi all,Just bought an Is200 se 6 speed manual, 2001 in gunmetal grey at the weekend. Impressed with the vehicle but have a few issues I would like opinions on:
Cruise control
The owner stated that it had crusie control, but i cannot find it anywhere??????
Heated wing mirrors
Again this was stated by the owner but i can find the switch to carry out this function (i have found the heated seats switch)...please help?
Jet nozzle cover
My left hand side one is missing, where can i obrtain one of these from and approx cost?
New radiator
I been told i will need one. Have seen a few on ebay are these ok or best to get it from dealer?
Parking sensor kit
Have seen some on ebay for £20 odd and sound well spec'd...are these actually any good...one would think if they are fitted right then they would be adequate???
Remote key fob
Only have the master key and one blank key. I wold like to copy the master key, can i just go to a elec locksmith to get the master key copied?
Thanks in advance and apologise for my stupid questions :shutit:

Anyone else?

Thanks for the clarification.
The orange light stays on my air circulating button and does not go off, is this linked to the heated mirrors?
So if i put the rear heater or seat heater, they automatically go on??
Thanks

No cruise on Manuals.
The heated wing mirrors are on all the time unless you have a symbol next to the rear window heater symbol

Defo doesnt have parking sensors, i had them on my previous car and also have them on my 2nd car now.
Is it poss to pm me or let me know by reply what key i will need to get please?
Thanks for your kind wishes
for the key check ebay for a blank and get it cut , then you can use the instructions on these forums to program it , i was in your situation a few days ago but now i have 2 blank master keys on there way for £75Interesting as i have your exact same model and colour car but mine has parking sensors and is 2005 (you sure you dont hear a beep when you engage reverse)
I have parking ok but not easy as the is is a big car , so the sensors help , but reverse seems to cut out if you dont give mine some revs but so far thats been bearable
welcome and wish you many successes with the car

Hi all,
I have the integrated system with 6 cd changer and cass player and there is a cd jammed in disc 1.
The system does not display jammed or error, simply does not eject or allow me to load.
Is this system totally knackered or is it fixable?
Thanks in advance

Agree with the right honourable gentleman...have 17" Hankook on mine and grip well and offer a smooth, quiet drive. Was a bit worried about the is200 having poor handling, but have been well impressed with mine. Would get them again, no question.
