Does anyone know a good Lexus specialist around the Heathrow area? I need a couple of things checked over on my LS
but don't really fancy taking it to Lexus Twickenham and getting raped.
Thanks

I did for a laugh, never again. Lost it and nearly stacked it, I'll stick to my 200sx next time!

You should not pay more than £10 per corner really. At least 4-5 garages around me charge that. Been doing it for the last few years now.

I only wish you could operate the windscreen washers separately from the wipers. I just hate the way the wipers spread all the dust around - possibly scratching the glass - before the water has made it through the pipes.
One thing I don't like to see is aftermarket wheels (sorry guys)! To me, they almost always look plain wrong and IMHO devalue the car.
When you can buy UCF20/21 for less than a grand these days there isn't much to devalue!

More toys would have been nice, even simple stuff like folding mirrors!

I would change wheels as well, but not just any wheels....
These babies :)
Now that's what I mean, look at that picture, nothing from the early 90's comes close to looking so good, not even a Rolls (actually, especially a Rolls!)
Really? That one has a rather expensive Wald kit on, in standard form they are not really that pretty! The only reason i have an UCF20 is because they are really confortable, awesome engine and I picked it up for 800quid!

I dont think it suits it really. There's much better options out there!

I bought some alloys for mine from yahoo auctions....only a minor problem....
Too damn wide!
Bah, that's nothing!
Lowering, some rear camber adjustment, stretched tyres, and a rolled arch lip will see those wide boys fit!
I know, but have an Aristo TT on it's way over from japland to me so that's where they'll go! Either way though I have a bit of work to do to fit them on!

as far as I know it's not leaking but will check when I service my car tomorrow!

Thank you :winky:

Hi all, I need to get some, contacted Lexus and they told me to look in the owner's handbook because there are different types but I can't find the bloody thing to save my life!
It's an LS400 UFC20 1996.
Many thanks!

I'll be changing mine soon, How many litres does that engine take? Thanks

Does nobody here use Toyo Proxes T1r's? Personally they are my favourite. Very good grip in the dry and wet. I have them all round in my LS and in my 200sx, best "grip/value" for money in my opinion and I shall be sticking to them for a long time to come yet....

Thanks for the replies guys.
The transmission fluid is at the correct level yeah no no probs there.
I'll give all the mounts a look next week to see if I find anything suspicious

Hi all,
As of late I seem to be getting this "banging sound" when coming off/on power suddenly, the harder I press the accelerator the harder/louder the banging sound is.
Sometimes it also happens when going from Neutral into Drive and very rarely when from Neutral to Reverse when standing still.
It's coming from the rear sounds like something is wrong with my prop/diff?
Has anyone else had this problem? The car is a 1996 LS400 by the way.
I intent on checking it out next week as I have a few days off and would just like to have a rough idea on what to look out for!
Thanks

Not all LS400s have traction control, do they?
