The person I spoke with at Tire Rack suggested the Turanza LSH 225x60x16s.
He said they are very quiet and come with a 30 day test drive...Bridgestone will refund your money if you aren't satisfied.
Sounds pretty good.
Still researching though.

Thank you very much for the comments. I will visit the sites.
Do you know if wheel/rim size has an effect?
Do you know if there are Lexus warranty issues if tires are changed?
Thanks again,
Larry

I just purchased my 2002 LS430.
The road noise...Dunlop tires...is very annoying. I am coming from an older LS400 then a Jaguar Vanden Plas. The tires have another 10,000 miles left on them and are in good condition. Nothing is wrong with the suspension.
I brought the car to two Lexus service techs who tell me that that is the way it is...affect of the tires against different road surfaces. We live in Florida.
I find it almost hard to believe that this would be the case for a car with under 20,000 miles and the most expensive car I have ever owned.
Will you advise me as to other feedback and solutions for this?
1. Have you heard this complaint before?
2. Is there a noticeable difference between the two tires, someone recommended the Bridgestones, feedback? Other tires?
3. Is there anyone who I can speak with or a place you can refer me to that has tested different tires on the vehicle?
4. Is there a suggested place to purchase these tires affordably?
My old LS400 had Michelins recommended for it.
I don’t care about performance per se, I want smooth and quiet.
HELP!!!
Thanks,
Larry

Thank you.
I'm getting closer to replacing the tyres and getting more used to the "road noise".
I heard Michelins wee quieter.
Do they have a favorable treead pattern?
Any suggestions as to the quietest, acceptable "legal" tires?
