The name of those water absorption thingies are "Kilrock slimline moisture trap" they are about the size of a house brick and have worked very well in my car...

Mine gets condensation/damp on the rear window when left even for a few hours in the Cold/damp weather. There is no water in the Boot under the carpet at all. Well I have regased my Aircon which
has definately helped things. Im sure its the water getting in through the spoiler holes which is causing my issue. Will have to investigate further.

thanks for your replies techchair and the Transporter
Where would I get a Silicon Spray from Techchair ?

Hi Guys,,,
My IS200 is constantly plagued with Damp/Condensation in the rear Window.
One thing to possibly check is under the Grey Carpet Covered Plastic Honeycomb/Mesh Cover on the inside of the Boot Lid.
Upon taking mine off there were Water Droplets all across the inside of Boot lid as well as in some of the HoneyComb mesh holes of the cover.
My Spoiler Bolts/Nuts on the inside of the boot lid are all rusted from the water. We dried the inside of the bootlid with a Drier and this has definately
helped with my rear window.
You have to take off the black plastic Covers on the Boot Lid Arms (Sort of push clips) first before prying off the clips that hold the cover to the bootlid.
Im suspecting on mine Water maybe getting in through the holes that are in the boot lid from the Spoiler as the rubber Seal on the boot itself seems fine.

Hi.
The bulb in the centre console underneath the gear leaver showing the gear selection in my is200 SE Auto has gone. Does anyone know how to replace it ?
Also does the Drivers side Electric mirror buttons light up on anyones IS200 when you switch the lights on ? I can only see the Auto on the windows Switch.
Thanks

Hi Guys.
Am thinking of lowering my IS200 with either SPAX or EIBACH springs. I know Eibach is probably the best way to go but they are nearly £100 more for a SET.
What are the Quality like of Spax these days ? Has anyone here got them and can recommend them ?
thanks

Hi Guys.
Am thinking of lowering my IS200 SE with some Eibach springs. How long should a garage really take to fit them ?
Is it advised after a few weeks after fitment to have wheel/camber alignment done ?
Thanks

Direct Line Quoted £488 with protected no claims and same excess.

Just had my insurance renewal through, Was nearly £800 for fully comp protected. I am 38 and have 7 years no claims. No claims for last 5 years.
Time to look elsewhere, how much are you guys paying ? Adrian Flux have been cheap in the past but I dont think I would go with them as they
have such a bad reputation now.

thanks for the reply john. I dont park on a hill its flat. Can the aerial easily be taken off to check do you know ?
Not sure if there are any in the boot seal area. Drains are in sunroof area, two in the front corners and two in the rear corners. May need to check rain not getting into aerial base?
Hope this is helpful or someone else gives you a tip. I have had this problem in the past, maybe rain getting into sunroof seal and running along inside. Do you park on a hill?

Hi Guys.
Am suffering from Condensation and water droplets on the inside of the rear window. ITs only this window which seems to suffer from it after rain.
Have checked the carpets and the interior of the boot where the spare wheel is and all is dry.
Seems that Drain holes getting blocked can be a cause of this. Does anyone know where these drain holes are and how to get access to them to unblock them ?
Thanks for any answers.

I agree with the petrol. The same thing happened a while back with some supermarkets and contaminated fuel. Alot of o2 sensors needed to be replaced.

I personally never by fuel from supermarkets.
just a view, did a code read on a VW after fueling 2 days prior - code was for oxy sensor due to change fuel quality

Thanks Chris. Let me know what happens :)

Cool Chris.
Where are you having it painted ? How much is it costing ?

Hi.
Im thinking of getting TRD Front/Rear Skirts on my IS200. Ive seen pics of them, but has anyone for the TRD kit on their IS200 near the Crawley area. I would not mind looking at
them when they are on the car if anyone would not mind me coming to have a look.
thanks

For a custom made back box/system find a powerflow dealer near you. They gave tonnes of tailpipes you can choose from and you can choose a smaller or larger silencer depending on how you want it to sound.
http://www.powerflowexhausts.co.uk/
well with a proper custom made one you get a choice of back boxes etc so you can really tailor the sound if the place knows what its doing

Bilstein are good. Motorsportworld are doing the rears and front shocks at £115 each including VAT at the moment.
I would steer clear of the cheaper makes like Gmax, Apex etc.
Hi all, was wondering if there are good aftermarket shocks about that wont brake the bank, like apex or gmax

Too Low in my opinion. Get it raised a couple of cms. Speed Bumps are going to be your worst nightmare.
and one before i painted the wheels

Looks uncomfortable, also looks like your suspension is broken........

Hi.
My is200 Auto has a hard to describe noise that happens from the front brakes when braking. It seems to happen from both sides when the brake pedal is imediately released after braking.
It seems to be a knocking noise of some kind. Has anyone any idea what might be the cause ? The mechanic who serviced it last time says there is nothing to worry about, I cant quite remember
what he said but it was something to do with the lexus caliper design.
Anyone any ideas of what the issue is and a possible fix ? as the noise is starting to ***** me off.
Thanks

Hi Guys.
Im thinking of getting a TRD front splitter for my IS200. I believe these come with a fitting kit. How easy are they to fit ?
