Hi Sarge,

In case it's the door trigger, you can check by pushing the pin in/out. Other signs can be that if your door's ajar, no door-open warning sign shows on your display, and problems with the locks. Alarm is also connected to these pins. So if one feels feels sticky, remove the rubber dirt protection en spray some WD40 in. If lucky, this could save you some dineros.

You might check also for a bad or falsing door-trigger, as this might drain the battery and trigger the alarm.

Hi newbee here,

Since a recent Battery change on my gs300 sport mk2 99my, when unlocking the car useing the remote, i get a series of beeps from under the bonnet, the car will start ect, but on some evenings the alarm will start going on the drive way!!

All windows, bonnet, doors, boot lid, are closed ok! but the red light in the right of the dash-board doesent light up! is there anyone on this forum know a short cut to pair the system back again.

P.s iv'e tried doing a procedure in the owners manual, but to no avail! Is a lexus dealer my only hope?

Any advise would be greatfully appreciated.

Hello fellow lexus owners i have just purchased a RX350 SE-L only a shade over 3 years old but it had now done 100K and is due for a service all previous services were at bradford lexus. I went to lexus birmingham who quoted me something like 500 quid plus a 10% discount since it older then 3 years now which i thought was excessive as they don't need to replace any spark plug or do anything with the timing belt. The break down for just the oil was over 100 quid, Phew!!!

I couldn't find any local independent Lexus garages does anyone know any good one in birmingham???

P.s. I only travel 12 miles a day to work and back and im getting about 20 miles to a gallon is this about right??

Hi guys. I seem to have to top up my engine oil every so often as the oil light comes on. I check the level and its gone down so have to top up. I have no visible leaks as no oil is under the car on the floor and it doesnt seem to smoke from the exhaust, all i get is the steam for a minute on cold startup. I generally have to put in approx half a litre every month. I do a fair bit of motorway driving so i know its not getting sludged up inside and it was flushed and changed a couple of months ago with new filter. This happened before the oil/filter change too as when i bought the car the oil was thick/black and sludgy so i straight away took it for a full service. Like i said though there are no visible leaks and no smoke so i really am out of ideas. Is it normal to use this much oil? Oh also the water cap it clear too so no oil getting in there.

I hope you got your problem sorted, re- oil consumtion, i'm a newbee here, but my company have recently brought-out a new product called (clean & protect) an engine flush & oil protectorant, (sold as a twin pack, it's had some great reviews from independant garages ect, (FORT'E) make this, check out there website!
