On the program Wheeler Dealers, They had a Lexus LS400, And they had a similar problem with the LCD display. They got a refurbed one of the internet, took a bit of soldering to fit but it did the trick. I expect if you go on-line you could find out where to source one from.

My sunroof blind on my GS430 keeps sliding back and making an annoying rattle. Has anyone had this before and know how to cure it. Or do I just jam some paper in there to stop it moving. Any advive would be great, Thanks.

I had a sterring wheel wobble at about 60ish. Just had two new front tyres fitted as they were wearing out. Had them balanced and the tracking done and the wheel wobble has stopped.

Don't go to the high street tyre dealers they will charge you a fortune. I use Event Tyres, They come to your house to fit the tyres, they are quicker than the high street and they are cheaper. And you can book online or give them a ring, and I expect they will be more about tyres than the high street people.

I wouldn't chrome them, leave them as they are. If you have chrome wheels they need to be alot bigger than that to get the VIP look. But end of the day it's your car you do what you want to do. :D :D :D

Just had a new head unit Pioneer AVH P4200 put in my GS430 they also put a new alpine amp and subwoofer. Wasn't cheap but the difference is amazing. Don't get me wrong the original sound system was good but this sounds alot better. Also got my ipod linked to the stereo so I can play all that great 80's music.

My GS430 GenII, The standard 17" wheels look way too small. Whats the best size to fill the arches nicey and not look like a sofa with very small castors on it. Any advice would be great thanks in advance.

Not for me. He has got too many colours all over the place, He has the wrong style and wrong size of wheel for that body kit. But each to their own I suppose.

Im thinking of replacing the stereo in my GS430. Its a X reg 2000 model. I was looking at a Alpine or Pioneer double din unit. But the guy in the shop said I would loose the use of the controls on the steering wheel . I thought you could get adapters so they would still work. Any help would be great. I had alook online at some car audio suppliers and they dont seem to do Lexus controls so maybe the guy was right

I used to use E tyres, but a friend at work told me about Event Tyres. I gave them a go. They where cheaper than E tyres and I think a better service, the fitter changed my two front tyres very quickly. It takes alot to impress me these days but I was impressed with Event Tyres. I will use them again for sure. :D :D :D

I have always found Michelen a good tyre. They aren't the cheapest but they do last a long time. Hope this helps :D :D :D

Ive seen a couple of cars on the forum with blue side light bulbs. I think these look better than the standard ones as they match the HID headlights. Does anyone know where I could get a set and are they legal coz some of the old bill round my way are right dudly do rights. Many thanks :shifty:

Got the car home now and what a drive home. Keep thinking the engine had cut out cos I couldnt hear it or feel it ticking over. Ill give it a clean and polish and post some pics up for you all. :) :) :)

Just bought my first Lexus. Its a 2000 GS430 SE in metallic green. Traded in my old C class Merc looking forward to friday when I pick up the GS430. I will let you know how it goes, I proberly wont sleep thursday night now :D :D :D
