  1. Hi, I've recently become the owner of a 2013 F Sport, I bought it in the UK and imported it into Ireland. I've owned a IS200 for the last 7 years but needed something cheaper to run so decided on a CT200H, have to say I'm loving the car so far.

When I got the car home I noticed a plastic panel sitting under the seat, can anyone shed some light on where it belongs?

Also, the car has a puncture repair kit rather than a spare wheel, are all models like this, is there an option for a space saver? I also think the repair kit has been used.

Another question, the car is nearly due its 90k service, I see that a break fluid change is done every 30k which I though was a bit excessive, is there a reason why the fluid id changed so often?

  2. they pop up on ebay usa from time to time for about £60, the 2004 onwards models without Sat Nav came with a better looking one, I keep trying breakers for those ones

    This one?

I'd be willing to sell it at the very reasonable price of just $8888. :winky:

  3. In theory you could change the oil/filter at the right mileage interval and trust the rest to the MOT check and how the car feels to identify faults. Trouble is that it would be difficult to sell on and you would lose more in depreciation than servicing costs. Makes sense once a car reaches its plateau value.

Thats my plan, the car's a Jap import so has no history anyway, I'll do all the servicing myself and through my hand to any other work that needs doing, I plan on keeping the car a good while so don't see the point in paying crazy labour costs to get a service history.

  4. EDIT: Shell V-Power is the fuel i use,,nothing else comes near my car.

Its petrol, not magic dust. What it will do is governed by RON ratings and BS Nos. You need to get it from somewhere that sells a lot because the forecourt tanks tend to be cleaner, and it is a good idea to stick to the same type which saves the ECU from having to do much adapting. Specialist fuels do genuinely return measurably improved performance/mpg on highly stressed engines but Mr Average is unlikely to be able to detect the long-term difference - and ALL reports show that improvements, particularly in mpg fail to match the extra cost.

and with all that said what is your point ?? i have to run atleast 98ron becuse of supercharger and here in sweden V-power 99ron is the same price as 98..not a difficult choice right.

Same here in Dublin, I get E5 99ron cheaper than most places selling 98ron, my last fill was 127.8c per liter, the average price in Ireland at the moment is 129.9c

  5. Cheers mate. I bought the car from the person who imported it, his brother is a doctor out in japan so he helped him by viewing the car in japan and shipping it over. He imported 2 Altezza's at the same time, mine, and a silver one for his wife, but his wife didn't like driving the silver one and kept bashing into things like kerbs and small posts etc. So the guy I bought mine from decided to sell the White one as it was mint, worth more money, and would be easier to sell than the silver one, and then fixed up the silver one for himself, and he ended up buying his wife a micra! Haha.

She didn't like driving the Tezza and now she has a Micra, ha ha, serves her right

  6. I went to talk to a lad about getting my wheels refurbished,

He said he could do the job for €460 but advised me that after he polishes and lacquers the lip that the finish wont last, that in less than a year the lip will be stained. Does that sound right, I would have thought that the lacquer would be enough to seal them.

He then offered me a set of these, Mak Iguan, for €490 plus mine as part exchange, no tyres in the deal I would keep my old one's.

What yis think? I'm not sure, why would he want mine if he thinks they cant be repaired to a good standard. I've checked eBay, I cant find the exact wheels but there are other 18" Mak's going for €356.

I just upload the image to flickr.com, then right click on the image and select properties, then just copy the url address and paste it to the add image icon here.

    Hope this helps.

BTW you can do this with any image you find on the web.
