Hi guys, I had a new 3/4 block engine put in and collected my car today. Its a 07 IS220D Sport with 109000. Due to my job I do over 20k miles per year! Lexus Bradford repaired FOC, warranty invoice showed a total of over £3500 but the service rep said this doesn't include VAT and warranty parts are always cheaper, if I had to pick up the bill it would have been over £6k!
I'm just surprised that a brand such as Lexus has problems of this severity. Reading across this forum it's apparent this has happened to a lot of us.
Anyone know if they replace the EGR valve when they do this repair? I didn't really get an answer from the service rep and the parts list mentions the valve but unit price looks way too low to be a replacement.

Thanks Ahmed. Did a bit of looking round and it's pretty much £180+ for each rear premium rate tyres

Hi I use a product called g850 multi purpose cleaner it is normally only supplied to the trade in 5 litre cans, find a local friendly used car dealer & he may sell you a litre.
Use it neat with a nail brush for bad stains or diluted for dirty carpets , then a sponge off with clean water, then dry it out with a small fan heater with the window slightly open. Works a treat.
Magic stuff...you can pick it up from eBay for pretty cheap :winky:

Hello to all on the LOC,
I have finally taken the plundge and will be taking delivery of an IS220d sport tomorrow!!! :D I was wondering what the best tyres are for this model (2007 220D sport Nav/Sunroof). How much are the rear tyres usually? And how often do you change them presuming city driving 60% of the time.

Hi,
Has any one put HID fog lights on their IS? If so can you provide some tips on install and what is the best brand in your opinions.
I recently upgraded to Garax 6000k bulbs for my headlights.
Thanks,
J
