If it's not a totally stupid question, what is the benefit of putting 'summer' tyres back on when the cold weather has abated? Do winter tyres wear faster or increase fuel consumption in normal conditions?

That's the same colour as my car, and mine had a black grill mesh as standard if that's what you mean.

How much you looking for the spats before you put them on ebay paulos? I'll need delivery to Ireland I think they look top and how'd you get your fogs yellow? Im new to LOC so sorry if its a daft question.
Hi mate, the spats are sold now. As for the foglights, they were like that when I got the car.

I would take it back to the auto locksmith and demand he sort it out to be honest. Surely programming the key for remote locking is half of the job!
When I needed a new key I found about 3 different methods of programming the remote, probably the same ones you have found that suggest you press the accelerator pedal three times, lock the door five times, touch your nose, stand on one leg and turn around on the spot while you honk the horn. That sort of thing. That was on a 2005 IS300 and as you may gather I couldn't get it to work.
In the end I took it to a Lexus dealer and they charged me £50 to program the key and did a free valet of my car and a visual mechanical inspection while they had it.

I've just ordered a TRD front spoiler...
How do they fix on?- as I'd rather have these than the spoiler..
(at time of posting, exactly 24 hours late!)
D'oh! They're a doddle to fit. You remove two of the existing bolts holding on the underside of your bumper, then screw them back in with the spat sandwiched between so it holds it on. Then you need a bit of 3M tape or similar to stick them flush to front/side the bumper.

My IS200 auto has the power and snow dash lights?!
I am not 100% sure if they are interchangeable but am guessing they should be? I am not sure if it is dependent on which year of clocks you get though as i think that pre and post May 2001 are different in the IS200. Hopefully someone will be able to clarify!
Does it?! Oh right, I was basing this purely on the pictures I've seen on eBay of dashes with all the lights on!
Dont think they are as the IS300 has VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) and the IS200 does not and the VSC is displayed on the IS300 dash when you turn the ignition on......
I'm not too fussed about having lights missing, as long as it works all I really want from my clocks is speed, revs, fuel gauge and trip counter/mileage. It did just occur to me that there is thing that tells me what gear I'm in. I guess that is specific to the auto versions...

The clocks in my IS300 are playing up and I figured the cheapest fix is probably to get a replacement from a scrapper. I can find plenty of is200 clocks but no is300 clocks. Does anyone know if they are interchangeable? The only difference I can see if that the IS200 (maybe just manual?) ones don't seem to have the PWR or Snow lights, but I can live with that.

Is it legal to use a Jap sized plate over here?

I've got corner spats on mine - I think they might be TRD? I'm not sure...
I'm about to chuck them on eBay though, I'm after something a little more understated now.

I do like that, quite subtle but still makes it look a little more aggressive. I'd be tempted to spray it to match the body colour though...

I assumed it was supposed to change the gear timing to make the car quicker at the expense of fuel economy, but in reality I've never noticed the difference whether it's on or off

I used this site when i was trying to figure out what my paint code is:

Hi, I got a full blank key from this guy:
Apart from the headache of doing the programming it works great.

I really like Aztec Fire. The I like the aero/styling kit models that came in the really vivid blue as well. Mine is in bluestone metallic, which I also like. It's just a cool looking car really, it can get away with anything :)
