  1. i have tried a few diagnostic mechines and not had any luck, i no that mitsubishi evos have a programme called EVOSCAN which is installed onto a laptop then use a usb to OBD-II connection to read codes, remove speed limiter, alter ecu settings ect. does anyone no if there is a similar programme that i can get hold of that will work on my 1999 altezza? any help would be appricated

  2. haha steve just waiting on funds then i can take it off the road and get to it! just had to pay out over 5k for the new workshop so on the case for a loan, u interested in a beams 3sge lump yet :D

  3. managed to get a manual tezza downpipe, goin to put a bung in the orignal lamda sensor boss, then weld in 2 new lamda bosses then fingers crossed should run fine. cheap de-cat mod for all the auto drivers that want to get rid of them :D

  4. right just to get a bit of info here, i will b taking the 3sge (g2) engine out of my altezza and puting it up for sale very soon, can someone give me an idea on how much to put it up for, will be complete engine and also a tiptronic geabox will be up for sale to. will take video of engine running and pics to prove mileage clocks read 131000 km (around 82k miles) had full service carried out in october. thanks all

  5. thanks for your replys, tbh i do want to do the work myself as i am a mechanic anyway so i will save quite a bit that way. its just the parts i would need that i need the help/info on and thats mainley the engine mounts as i have a prop sorted oh and the 5 speed gearbox. got a complete engine for £1500 just got to find another car to drive so i can start work :)

  6. i have been looking at a few de-cats but they all seem to be a single one thats well after the manifold and bolts into the centre section, for some reason on mine it has 2 cats on the manifold (one either side) im really quite confused by this?????

  7. oh no, i wenrt sayin id do that myself wouldnt risk that. i no a company to get that done and its not that expensive. the wiring is gona be a issue as i cant stand it! think im just gona have to give it a go and see what happens

  8. labours not an issue as im a mechanic myself, just not sure on the parts id need for the conversion. im def goin to get the supra box tho as i cnt see the altezza one anywhere near close to fitting. already have coilovers so thats 1 less thing to buy :D think ill have to have the prop cut and fuse welded as i dnt want to risk it breaking. its just theres not alot of info on this conversion so after all the help and ideas i can get.

  9. i have managed to source an engine just need a gearbox now, does anyone know what engine mounts i need to use? as they put the 2jz engine in the is300 will it drop straight in to the altezza engine bay or are they completley different? any help would be much appricated

  10. yh very true, im just so used to a manual and tbh i do prefer it. i feel to lazy in an auto my left hand has nothing to do now lol. im not after stupid amounts of power 350-400 out of the supra lump would do me just fine :D

  11. I would think a LOT of work. Have you considered just boosting your tezza to get some more grunt out of it?

    mines a non turbo tiptronic, instead of doin a manual then turbo conversion thought it would make more sence and maybe cost less to go with a bigger better and more tuneable engine, well that is if it dont sell on eBay. if it does then ill just have to hunt for a manual turbo one

  12. hi all, im considering doing a 2jzgte conversion on my altezza, does anyone know how much work is envolved? has anyone on here already done this that could give me some help/tips? also all my orignal altezza engine (3sge) and tiptronic gearbox will be for sale got 81k miles on the clock what would it all be worth?

  13. hi all, iv recentley got a rs200 s reg (1999) i really wanted a 6 speed manual but had to settle for the auto/tiptronic. how much work is envolved and what parts anr needed to swap from auto to manual? i no im going to need gearbox, flywheel, clutch, pedal box, and dash clocks. is there anything else im missing out?
